November 28, 201311 yr Susan Boyle and Elvis Presley.. no way is that even charting Top 40! Massively behind Altern8. They obviously won't be number 1 but it'll be amazing to have them in the Top 40 and as far who the Christmas #1 will be - forgone conclusion, boring, stop taking bets, YAWN. November 28, 201311 yr Susan Boyle and Elvis Presley.. no way is that even charting Top 40! Why do you think that? I think it may go Top 5. I'd love AC/DC to be No.1 but won't happen.
November 28, 201311 yr Why do you think that? I think it may go Top 5. I'd love AC/DC to be No.1 but won't happen. 1) Well even at the peak of her fame in 2009 she only managed a #9, now in 2013 I would say she is pretty irrelevant (though can still sell albums) 2) The track is available on her album which is out now so if people wanted to buy it they'd be buying it now and it hasn't shown on the Top 100 feed. 3) There is just too much competition around at the moment.
November 28, 201311 yr 4-1 AC/DC 25-1 Altern 8 Why all these anti-X-Factor campaigns choose awful songs ? :(
November 28, 201311 yr The problem is, again as with 2010, there are too many "anti XF campaigns" and they're going to get split. AC/DC seem the most likely to do it atm, but I'm not even sure they'll get there. I do get peed off with how these campaigns are all about trying to make "Christmas number 1" what it used to be and how much XF has influenced the Christmas charts over the years, but then they choose a song that has NAFF ALL to do with Christmas. :\ I got the point of RATM and it worked, was a success, well done etc.. but try a PROPER Christmas campaign next time please. GAHD. [/rant]
November 28, 201311 yr What Now with a X Factor finale performance and a discount.... LOL (lemme dream :D)
November 28, 201311 yr Altern 8 all the way. Amazing track. Absolutely, I am fully Team Altern8. :D Anyway, the OCC have issued a statement: http://www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/t...-revealed-2638/

Good points but I still think the combination of her and Elvis, plus it being available, I think, as a CD single too, and for charity, could help. We'll see anyway.
November 28, 201311 yr Why all these anti-X-Factor campaigns choose awful songs ? :( Highway To Hell is a bit odd for Christmas but still, Killing In The Name was, as a title!
November 28, 201311 yr Why all these X-Factor campaigns choose awful songs ? :( I don't know, "Impossible" isn't that bad though.
November 29, 201311 yr Surely making the Christmas Number One "what it used to be" would be choosing a non-Christmas song? Only a small minority of Christmas Number Ones actually are Christmas-related songs, it's just that they tend to bunch in particular eras so they seem more common than they really are.
November 29, 201311 yr Why is Spraggan being given odds to be Christmas #1? I know she's amazing, but 'Last Night (Beer Fear)' and 'Lighthouse' wee hardly enduring chart hits, so I don't think 'Tea & Toast' will be either...

November 29, 201311 yr The bside of Lucy Spraggan is a Xmas song! Well if she doesn't get anywhere near #1 with her a-sides...
November 29, 201311 yr Back in the "Old Days" the Christmas song would be the A-side now, and then it would be flipped after Dec 25th and the other side instantly becomes the promoted side.
