I have been thinking this, especially since she has come out in support of Tamera. My guessing is that they want Tamera in the final so she can hopefully have a Alexandra and Beyonce moment with Rihanna. Also RiRi is due her annual X Factor appearance/performance.

There's no way Tamera will be in the final.

I have not paid attention to iTunes at all in the past few days but how did Bastile and Avici rise up so much?

 55. Under Control (feat. Hurts) - Calvin Harris & Alesso

Please go to #1 next week.

So that's three One Direction songs that won't chart on Sunday. Which is good, I suppose as certain songs won't be denied a top 10 position by then.

The chart rules are sort of ridiculous though.

I found out today that they're charting in Ireland. 'Diana' débuted at #2, 'Midnight Memories' at #3. While it probably makes more sense to include them, I'm glad the UK chart isn't being clogged by them.

Ineligible to chart on Sunday

Pre-order

 282. Demi Lovato - Neon Lights

:cheer:

With Bastille performing on Alan Carr tonight, could they get to #1 overall? Apparently it's VERY close between them and Lily.

It'd be nice for Bastille to get a number 1 but I want Lily there too.

Hopefully Bastille get the number one this week!

Oh God, can One Direction just f*** off? It is bad enough having one of their shitty songs in the charts, let alone 3 so high up. Thank f*** they can't all chart. I wish they would just split up and leave the planet, they drive me insane. Worst band ever!

I can't believe JLS are already down to #40 after six days of being on sale. :o They're performing on X-Factor though so will probably get a second week top 40 but this is still shocking considering only two and a half years ago they had their fifth #1 single!
with 3 new songs by one direction, story if my life is holding up well,

It's probably holding up well this week because the instant grats are encouraging new pre-orders of the album which still count as sales for 'Story Of My Life'. I think it'll drop a fair bit next week.

X Factor boosts haven't been that big this year, so they might still drop out the top 40 with it.

287. Sage the Gemini - Gas Pedal (feat. IamSu)]

^ I hear this in a club nearly everytime I go out. Catchiest song ever.

I never really listen to their songs, but there's pop stars with worse music than them. I never choose to listen to their songs, but when I hear them I don't think they're too awful.

Hopefully Bastille get the number one this week!

I want Lily Allen to be #1. Have to say, when she first got famous, I never thought she's last this long. I don't think I've even heard this Bastille song yet, but Lily Allen's cover is nice (even though I'm not too fond of the orignal, Is It Any Wonder is their only song I'd listen to out of choice tbh. Reminds me of my GCSE years. Everybody's Changing is a classic too I guess).

I'm quite happy to see OD throw away singles success, especially as it surely won't benefit them significantly in albums...

Their rabid fanbase would have bought the album *anyway*, so they've sacrificed singles charts positions to this pre-order/instant grat nonsense! :w00t:

I think their strategy is focused on maximising album sales.

They have already released two singles from this album and normally only do three proper single releases from an album anyway.

I suspect they may do another two more between now and the next album next year and those will surely be for those outside the fanbase.

Morning update: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...t&p=4508132

59p songs in the top 100:

:left: 22 Ylvis - The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?)

 23 Rudimental feat. Emeli Sandé - Free

 24 Rizzle Kicks - Skip To The Good Bit

 28 AWOLNATION - Sail

 31 Dizzee Rascal feat. Teddy Sky - Love This Town

:left: 64 Imagine Dragons - On Top Of The World

 88 Busted - Year 3000

 90 Bruno Marts - Gorilla

I'm shocked at how big a lead 1D are managing to get with "Strong". Could all three debut inside the T20/30 next week?

 14. Avicii "Hey Brother"

 15. Lily Allen "Hard Out Here"

Yay for Avicii, but hoping Lily Allen can recover and return to the T10 in the coming weeks; great track.

Bastille are bouncing back quite quickly, back to 0.62 of 1D. Hopefully they will be able to get the no 1 spot for at least a short while before getting knocked off by the new releases tomorrow

Well they're being downloaded mostly by those who have pre-ordered the album anyway, so I don't think it's making any difference to them. They could release another single (ie. not one of these) if they wanted, also.

Strong is the best song on the album.

I thought You & I was going to be the final pre-order... guess that means it might be a single then.
