One Direction look set for the No.1 album spot this week selling over 115,000 copies of Midnight Memories in the 1st day. Gary Barlow at 2.

Definitely, I thought their performance on x factor was really good, they seem to be growing up to be really nice young men too, I'm a granny so I notice these things

:lol: and good luck to them they work hard enough that's for sure.

115K is more than I thought although it will be very front loaded xmas cd saturdays sales have kicked in so 200-250,000 seems like it could happen.

 

Gary very similar sales to Robbie should finish around the same mark

+ pre orders, most reckon their sales will drop off a bit now, if they do around 25-30k per day (Sat sales could increase), I estimate it around 260k plus :o

Pleased that Boyzone are set for the top ten. Huge for 1D, they just seem to get bigger and bigger worldwide by the day! Great for Gary too, very respectable sale considering how much of an embarrassing and well publicised flop his last solo album was.

Yea, looking things back can't believe 1999 ever existed in his career.

Huge sales for 1D and its actually a good album with lots of potential hits though many places are sold out already which might affect sales for next few days. Really good sales for Gary Barlow too. Promotion with those meerkats during X Factor and Corrie seems to be working and he is doing record signings each day too.

Album sales are at least picking up but disappointed Gary Barlow is not number 1 in the albums.

Gary Barlow's new album was being sold for £1.49 on amazon yesterday as a download- the deal was posted on Hotdeals UK and people even used the £1 you get for joining amazon cloudplayer to get it for less. Do they discount those sales during that period until the price was fixed by amazon, otherwise its a budget cd.

I'm listening to the Gary Barlow album now - I'm quite impressed so far, I have to say. May even buy it eventually.

I can actually see One Direction getting the best selling album of the year by Christmas - wouldn't exactly be difficult to do. I won't even complain so long as somebody beats Emeli Sande! :lol:

After the last 2 weeks i always predict the sales down last week i thought Robbie would break 120k but he only ended up with 106k, even with saturday xmaas shopping now. 1D should at least break 200k, i predict 215k :)

 

I still dont understand why albums arent released on a sunday in this day & age??
