OA/OS is the norm in the US - radio know how to deal with slow builds. Radio in the UK really don't, that's a big part of why the system never took off here.

 

Yeah, I think one of the main differences between UK and US radio is that in the UK we have a couple of big stations that alone can turn a song into a hit. In the US for a song to be a big hit it usually has to be played on 100+ pop stations, which makes songs climb a lot slower.

Looks like it. Strikes me as a bit pointless to release a single version only to delete it just days later. I suppose that benefits her by giving her Sunday sales, but surely the more logical move would be to just release the whole album on Sunday (I do not understand why record labels aren't doing this already).

 

The Pogues' highest version is now above Mariah's highest and they have finally opened up a (very small) lead over her combined :cheer:
