This time last year, I would have been less surprised to hear that Robin Thicke, Daft Punk or David Bowie got to number one on iTunes than Leona Lewis. The same Leona Lewis who sold less than 600 copies with Lovebird.

the trouble with Leona is she is talented with some good songs but her record label have been terrible with releases. On Spirit take a bow/homeless should have been released. With Echo they released I Got You when their were much better songs like broken/don't let me down/Naked/Outta My head and Glassheart was a complete mess when they released trouble and lovebirds when the album had several better songs e.g. Glassheart/Come Alive/Fireflies/Shake You Up. I think the label let her down a bit tbh

She has a new management team who have been amazing. Ever since she got rid of modest, things have been much smoother. Cannot wait to see what they have in store for her next album! :D

"My Hands" is the best song from Leona!!! It sounds so epic!!! She should release it three years ago. But I'm so glad that she is No.1 in i-tunes..I believe that she is the best British female singer ever!!! :party2:

Given that it's iTunes-only, the Xmas market is fierce and it's only got two days of sales... I think #35 is a good estimation?

Egg truly on my face after scoffing at the idea of Leona getting close to #1 last week :drama:

 

I won't deny it's done better than I ever would've imagined it to do (or any future single at all by her for that matter), but in spite of myself it's growing on me.... it's lyrically a bit weak, but it's just too damn festive.

I'm happy for Leona because I've always liked her (she's sooooo sweet) and has made fantastic songs in the past but I just don't like 'One More Sleep'. :(

Have to laugh at people moaning about Leona's record label, that label and its connections allowing her to be on X factor EVERY year is the only reason she is still relevant.
