You have to remember that the singles chart is pretty stagnant right now and the top 10 will be doing very low numbers by usual standards.

The top 3 are selling quite low but the overall sales are still just around normal ormaybe slightly below - the no10 last week still sold around 30k!

Leona heading for #2 :o Would be very surprised if she got that high offcially but I expect she'll be top 5 this week, which is really an incredible result for a Christmas song.

And one not supported by radio 1/capital. Although an XF performance in the semi-final isnt bad promo lol!

I thought Leona would get a decent push from XF but never would have expected her to go top 5 / potentially #2. Seems like another top 10 hit in the bag for her. Would prefer if it didn't outpeak 'Trouble' though :P

So yes sales are low right now and this week will only see them drop I think seen as there is nothing really new out.

Assuming this applies to the UK as well as the USA/other countries, Bieber is releasing an album (called 'Journals') next week containing all 10 Music Mondays songs and 5 new songs. But for some bizarre reason the album is only going to be on sale for <3 weeks (until 2 Jan). Very strange and pointless.

How on earth does like a song like that make people "stupid"? :unsure: I've liked a lot of the winners' singles so far.

Plus I think this is down to it being officially announced it's a single where profits will be going to charities.
