Elf and Anchorman. I probably laughed once or twice in each one, horrific.
The Matrix. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!

I remember enjoying The Matrix Reloaded more than the first one when I saw them, but I was about 12 which might explain it.

The first one that springs to mind is Up. It's lovely, obviously, but a couple of the characters really grate and I feel like Pixar are starting to run on fumes a bit. You can't wow people just by making a really affecting animated film any more, because we know that it's possible. Wall-E falls into the same category.

Basically I want everything to be Toy Story.

Could we add 'Battle Royale' to this? Bleh...
No.

everyone went on about.. oh, you must see this, you must see this, so what. i saw it- it's nothing special.

i don't dislike it, but i expected more from it

i guess i could say the same for silver lining's playbook (okay, i love that movie) but i remember when it first came out in america and everyone was rubbing in to me that they'd seen it a million times all ready and it was the best thing since slice bread and i was dying to see it, saw it, and all it is is a predictable romantic commedy. nothing special- we have plenty of those

The storyline is a bit boring and bleh but visually it was stunning. Did you watch it in 2D or 3D?

The Social Network

I tried watching it and ended up getting bored and falling asleep

I was disappointed with that movie.

RE: Up and Wall-E - soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo wrong, yes absolutely. Two of the greatest, most heart-warming films of all time, perfect in every way. Anyone who disagrees should be forced to sit through any of the rubbish rival animated movies that plod out each year. Pixar has made the greatest animated movie collection of all-time. I mean, I was around when The Jungle Book came out and I was mad on it - but Pixar is better even than peak Disney, gasp! (Though classic Disney are artistically visually stunning creations)

Titanic. Well, I haven't actually seen it but I just KNOW it is vile.

I'd second the choice of Inception. I didn't find it difficult to follow but I did find it went downhill quickly after the quite cool scenes of the results of 'torture in the past'. Plus the ending was shit, especially as it was the most obvious thing ever.

Maybe it's the age I first saw them at but I never felt the spark in either that I did watching Toy Story (which is still probably the best animated film ever as far as I'm concerned), Monsters Inc. or The Incredibles. Everything is still completely immaculate but there's no thrill to it.

Toy Story (and to a slightly lesser extent 2 & 3) is one of the greatest films of all time full-stop. Not just animated.

It's such a strong benchmark to compare too, so is always going to be slightly unfair. Earlier non-pixar Disney (the likes of Lion King, Jungle Book etc) come closest to matching it though.

i love toy story. especially the third one which surprises me. usually, i'm not really a fan of sequels, unless they have something really special
