I was hoping Lucy'd death would be gruesome, I know that sounds sad, but it would be much better than her body lying in a sleeping position.

Same actually - I was expecting a camera shot of her face with eyes slightly bulging, a la

in 1999.

On a separate note, Libby looks identical to how she looked when she was previously in the show a few years back! :P

It was nice seeing Libby again, Denise needs to build her family back up :P
Yeah I was expected more from the actual scene where you saw her body as well to be honest. I'm sure the proceeding events will be absolutely essential viewing though, there isn't a clear cut obvious suspect as there can be at times when it comes to whodunnits. It'd be quite a lol in a way (and random) if it was Abi, but I'd bet on it being Lee. There really is just something very odd and very creepy about him, he's hiding something anyway even if he hasn't killed lucy, maybe that will just be additional on top of the fact he's not a murderer :P

tbf, the storyline is expected to run for a year plus and only the people who know are dominic and three of the creative team. so no character's behavior can be analysed for now i'd say.

sounds like a long process ahead...

The end of the episode with Lucy's body was quite underwhelming tbh. I hope it's Cindy who killed her and I think it was her who did it.

Liam that is called bad acting...

After thinking more about this, I wouldn't be surprised if its Peter, they did said its dark days for the Beale family probably Ian is going to lose both twins and the other gets banged up, usually twins have connections with each other.

I think there'll be no one cause of her death. I think it will be multiple interactions and encounters which led up to it. Maybe even suicide by the end. Someone on DS had an interesting theory. That she bumped into Jake (off-screen obviously) and they had an argument because he was drunk and trying to make a move on her. Then she fell causing more injury to her already injured head, and then she went to meet the mystery person (her drug dealer) and then gave her more coke and in her state decided to commit suicide. Then Jake went to apologise later, but found her dead. Fearing he caused it, he dragged her body into the wooded area and made it look like a mugging gone wrong.

Then he'd get falsely arrested and sent down (because he's leaving the soap soon), but the 'real killer' is still around.

It's also been teased that there'll be some flashback scenes or flashback episodes at some point.

Also, I really like the trailer they made for next week's episodes.

Jake did see Lucy and Lee in the restaurant so it could be him :o

I think it may be Danny as he is coming up as a suspect, he could be her drug dealer? Didn't he hide drugs at one point?

I don't understand the Danny rumours - hasn't he left with no intent to return? (or is this all some cover up by DTC to add to the ~mystery~?)

I do like the Nick/Charlie Cotton speculation I'm reading on DS, but at the same time I really don't think the writers would be able to execute something like that.

It won't be Jake. They're not going to waste this reveal on some random who will be long forgotten by next year. They'll want the story to be iconic.

I'm saying she probably wasn't murdered, and I don't think the killer will necessarily be aware of what he or she has done, at least not immediately. I'm really excited to see this all unfold.

I'd love them to play it out that everyone was involved in a way.

But my guess is

Jake

. I don't even know who he is but he seemed very dodgy at the restaurant.

It'd be very cool if it was

Peter

.

Abi.

She was nowhere to be seen in Friday's episode. She doesn't appear for two weeks after tonight's episode. She's wearing red and standing directly behind Ian and Peter in the trailer.

Abi.

Perfect duff duff at the end I saw it coming, I just felt that episode should have been a double episode.

I agree. It was crying out to be a double episode tonight, especially with how much they hyped the episode up.

I imagine they'll have lost a lot of casual viewers. A lot of disappointed on DS. Personally, I really enjoyed it but was sad that it finished so quickly. Either an hour long or second episode at 9pm would've been good.

It wont be Jake as i would think tonight episode was deliberately done to make us think it was him as he was the only one acting shifty. Im not sure what i thought of tonights episode, i think it took too long to get to what people wanted to see i.e Ian been told, so really its tomorrow nights episode we see the reactions. I think some viewers feel they were conned into watching 2 episodes where nothing too major happened seeing as we saw nothing of Lucys actual murder.

I do think tonights episode should have got straight into the Beales finding out, considering Lucy was dead since Friday, still i am looking forward to seeing it all unfold tomorrow night. I wonder what will happen with Ian and Denise now, that relationship is now like an extra storyline to the Lucy murder.

I'd say there were a lot of characters acting shifty. Lauren mentioned she left the party earlier, Max hiding in the iamspamspamami Lola mentioning that Peter came home very late last night. Jake's was of course the most obvious reaction though.

Apparently Lucy was dealing drugs to Sharon, but take it with a pinch of salt.

Also, EE got its highest overnight TV rating of 2014 with 8.18 million viewers last night.

Well I know its not Jake, as he is leaving in the summer, just makes me wonder if someone else will get killed off at the end of the year in relation to Lucy's death as usually the xmas episodes they tend to kill characters off. And Lee is leaving for a while going back to Afganistan so they say, and at the moment I'm not ruling Deano out either, if he's been dealing with drugs than somehow him and Lucy could have met in secret. Which could be seen in a flashback episode down the line to fill the blanks.
Did no one notice how shifty Abi was? Probably not her though.

It won't be Abi if she wasn't in Friday's episode. I'd be surprised (and concerned) if it was somebody that wasn't in Friday's episode...
