I'd be more impressed. There's so much about Lucy that we're yet to discover. It'd be better if the killer hadn't been flaunting themselves around the square on the night in question.

I could definitely see it being a character who wasn't featured in Friday's episode. I don't see why it shouldn't be! If anything I reckon the characters who were featured heavily in Friday's episode were intentionally red herrings. I personally don't want it to be one of her family members (and I can't see that being the case).

 

At the moment, I'm thinking it was Abi. I also noted that Abi was acting in a shifty manner during her scenes in Monday's episode, whereas she usually comes across as bright and bubbly. My guess is that she found out about Max/Lucy somehow, and obviously knowing about this going on behind her & Lauren's backs would anger her. I can see it being the case that Abi confronted Lucy about it, they argued/had a fight, and then Abi accidentally kills her somehow, as opposed to it being intentional.

 

I can Jake being involved, indirectly. Perhaps Abi & Jake have secretly been discussing the situation, and were both trying to find out what Lucy has been up to. Maybe he's the one he took the photo of Lucy & Max and then emailed it anonymously, on Abi's behalf. This could also explain why Jake was at the window on the night Lucy/Lee got together in the restaurant. I think he was spying for Abi, seeing what Lucy was up to. I don't think he would have been the one who killed her though. I think he may have helped move the body for a panic stricken Abi, though (assuming the murder didn't take place in the exact spot that Lucy was found in).

 

Of course this could all be completely wrong! I doubt the EastEnders writers would want anyone to be able to figure out the correct scenario this early on anyway, so maybe it's someone even less obvious.

After last night's episode I'm quite sure that Abi has some sort of involvement - it being her who took the photo of Lucy and Max at the flats fits quite well.

 

I don't see what was wrong about yesterday's episode - the advert wasn't just to hype up Monday but the whole week, so I'd have thought it would be expected that things would be spread out. Also, the duff duff moment is meant to make us want to watch more right away, why see Ian discovering Lucy has died at this moment a bad thing?

If it isn't somebody from Friday's episode (there were plenty cast members in Friday's episode, so I don't see how it would be disappointing at all for the killer(s) to be one of them), it'd be a major anti-climax. Even if it's somebody who only had one scene/line (~~ Cindy, who I think/want it to be), it amounts to clever storytelling in the sense that they were completely innocent in the episode yet you didn't expect them to have done that by its end.

The only anticlimactic outcome is if it turned out to be someone 1) we suspect immediately 2) is a lame go nowhere character (Jake) or 3) is leaving anyway (this covers 2 characters at present and neither are likely to be the killer anyway).

There'd be massive implications if it was Abi. Primarily because Lucy was her sister's best friend. I think Abi knows something, but I don't think she did the final deed. Tbh, quite a few people probably had some part which contributed to her death. I don't think anyone went out of their way to kill her. Definitely not Abi. It's not in her character.

I never said I wanted it to be Abi, just that she was acting shifty last night and no one mentioned it in the long lists of shifty characters.

I think it'd be jumping the shark for Abi to suddenly be a murderer, but I definitely agree she was acting a bit shifty... For it to be such a big reveal, I don't think it will just be that she was murdered by one person, what people have said about two or three characters maybe contributing to her death could be right. I'm very excited to see how things pan out anyway, there's obviously a lot more for us to discover.

I'm actually thinking the opposite it's probably someone who wasn't in Friday's episode they are making seem like anyone could have done it that's probably one of the reasons they are dragging this out till next Febuary .

 

My dad, who really doesn't like Eastenders cos "it's always depressing", is actually crying after watching that. What a really stunning episode, wonderfully acted by everyone involved. Especially Adam Woodyatt, who played every aspect of his emotions so perfectly tonight.

 

Really really moved by that.

My dad's the same when it comes to Eastenders and I noticed he didn't make many comments during tonight's episode.

 

It really was a moving episode, I had to keep looking away from the TV. Shame they cut the scene where we see the reactions to Cindy and Bobby although I think that would have been too heart breaking to bare!

I think it's the most sensible course of action to take with child actors especially in such as well acted episode, and this is the first time i've cried after a soap. Amazing episode.

Oh god those end scenes with Ian & Peter was harrowing just gave me goosebumps, and left me crying, Adam Woodyatt gave his best performance to date.

That episode :( it was so emotional. Ian acting was fantastic. As was Denise and Jane's! I cannot wait to see Ian go all apeshit on Max now!

I think that's one of the best episodes of EE I've ever seen! Just incredible acting from Adam Woodyatt! At the end when he told Peter was just :cry: Also, when they told Cindy and Bobby was so well done!

 

I'm expecting more incredible acting on Thursday. It's just the Beales and Dot who appear on Thursday's episode.

Glad this could be finally moving away from The Carter show (although I love them) :P
