Posted January 25, 201411 yr Simon set to make a comeback? He's the original & best judge & now it seems that Simon Cowell is heading home to "his baby" (his words), 'The X Factor' UK. After an uninspiring 3 seasons of the US version, Simon has hinted that he is coming home to the UK, where he judged for 7 years. Speaking about the 4th season, Simon said: "The show will be coming back next year, but my role in the show may be different." Simon also mentioned that there "will be new judges" in 2014, on the US panel & it may be changing to 1 night a week, instead of 2. This indicates that he will be producing the show, but not judging. He currently judges the US version & produces the UK version but that could reverse in 2014, with Simon returning to his head judge seat on the UK's biggest singing competition. Simon will earn £25 million if he agrees to return to ITV's 'The X Factor'. Follow @ShowbizSecrets on Twitter, here, for all of the latest celebrity news.Pretty obvious, imo. Not a surprise in the slightest, but I for one would LOVE to see him back. --- Nicole Scherzinger set to become highest paid judge, ever? Pop princess & 'X Factor' legend, Nicole Scherzinger, is set to return to the judging panel in 2014, in a deal worth £3 million. If this is true, that will make Nicole the highest-paid judge in 'X Factor' history & possibly, UK TV history. Nicole is set to return for her 3rd series (4th if you include her US stint), alongside Simon Cowell, who is also rumoured to be returning after hinting that he is leaving 'The X Factor' USA. You can read all about Simon's US exit here. The rumoured deal is part of an exclusive story from The Sunday People: Follow @ShowbizSecrets on Twitter, here, for all of the latest celebrity news.Wouldn't mind seeing Nicole staying for another year either. Unsure about the deal, I think it could be exaggerated. But if Cheryl Cole is to return, surely she'd out do Nicole's salary, no?
January 25, 201411 yr i love simon, and i really do hope he comes back to judge for the new series. i'm pleased their is a new series, heard a lot of rumours going around last year that it could be the last. love the show (especially the auditions) any dates set for it's return. i would guess next november, or is it skeduled sooner
January 25, 201411 yr I think the only chance they stand of beating Strictly in the ratings is if they return to the Simon / Cheryl / Dannii / Louis panel, but if Nicole's staying that automatically eliminates one of Cheryl and Dannii. I'd prefer Dannii to come back of the two, but obviously the nation as a whole would prefer Cheryl (:().
January 25, 201411 yr Bringing in new judges for the show will do nothing for ratings unless it's a massive international star with a fun personality. In terms of judges, Simon's return would help to boost ratings and it's more than obvious that he will be returning in order to do this. I think the main issue though is the talent. The last two series, I haven't really watched but from what I saw of them, no one stood out for me and they were all fairly average.
January 25, 201411 yr Really hope Dannii comes back, she's easily my favourite XF judge ever! I think she'll stay on the Australian panel though (and the live shows will clash so she can't do both). Saying that, they're apparently looking to get Jessica Mauboy so they must be replacing either her or Natalie Bassingthwaighte. Dannii won last series and is a far better judge/mentor than Natalie so I'm sure they'll at least try and get her to stay. I watch both, so either way I get to see Dannii's amazingness, but it would be great to see her back on UK screens in a big way.
January 25, 201411 yr I'd like to see Jess over here, if only so her excellent music could finally get some airtime here.
January 25, 201411 yr I hope Simon returns, but at the same time I hope the show's survival doesn't fully rely on his presence. We need some fresh talent, plus more focus on voting via the X Factor app so that we don't get another top 2 of Grandma's favourites which won't have any success after releasing a cover versions album in time for mother's day.
February 1, 201411 yr Odds on Cheryl returning have been suspended after it got to 1/4. She's apparently been hinting at a return as well.
February 1, 201411 yr I really don't think Cheryl is going to go back, she has said time and time again that she won't.
February 10, 201411 yr Simons back. 'wow i am really shocked, i never saw that coming' well they have cancelled the x factor america, what else was he going to do?
February 13, 201411 yr Nicole will apparently be quitting to focus on promoting / supporting the second album... Understandable (it's been a long time coming )
February 13, 201411 yr Cheryl posted a pic of her and Simon on the x factor panel on her Instagram today, a hint that she is returning maybe?
February 13, 201411 yr If Cheryl returns, she will look weak. After what Simon did to her I would never return if it was me, but then again she probably needs the money... Dannii to replace Nicole? And wasn't the last series Louis last? But then again he says that every year

February 14, 201411 yr "Nicole will always be a part of the X Factor family," Cowell tweeted. "Now signed to Sony as an artist. Thank you Nicole for everything." Confirmed now, then. :( Also, Simon has "very, very exciting news" coming this week! Too obvious to be Cheryl returning?
February 14, 201411 yr I'd say a Cheryl return is almost a certainty now. Would still love to see the back of Louis but I'm sure he'll remain.
