I'm guessing the whole idea is they consider it a chart injustice that it didn't get to #1.

And Regina, I really did not need reminding of Jessica Simpson's version. :drama:

amazon only counts for a small amount of total sales so i would be surprised if it went top 40.

I would presume that it's selling about the same amount on both iTunes and Amazon, but is more visible on Amazon due to the lower overall sales as you mentioned. That seems to be the case with most of these social media campaigns. AC/DC was an exception for obvious reasons.

Jessica Simpson's version is much better :( people should just download her version.

THIS. I actually heard it before Robbie's one (was only young when Robbie's one came out)

Okay, thanks.

I'm glad it didnt get to #1 its his worse song!. Anyhow it is his biggest seller by miles, which is probably better than a no.1
Last weekend I heard an uptempo version of Angels in at least two different clubs, so possibly they are getting behind this, and I intended to find and download the uptempo version anyway, so may as well do it this week and add my vote to the total.

The OCC have tweeted

that it's in the Top 100 and people can find out where after 7pm. So it's obviously not T40.

You probably could have guessed that by now, but I spoiler-tagged it anyway.

Surprised it even did that much to be honest. It was hardly soaring on iTunes!
Charted at number 98 in the end

Well...I'm surprised it did that well to be honest. These campaigns are a complete waste of time!

Considering there was hardly any exposure for this campaign and added to the fact it's sold so much I'm suprised to see it Top 100!
These campaign tracks hardly work, its not going to happen.

At least MW might come up with a total sales figure for it though - haven't seen one for 13 months...

Not to mention a waste of money - they're encouraging people to delete their downloads so they can download again - would that even work??

I 'liked' the page out of curiosity. They seem like sweet people but without a clue. They're convinced it's going to number one next weekend now the ball is rolling

I knew Robbie Williams fans were a bit mental but this is a whole new level of crazily deluded. There's a video on the page where RW was caught out by a banner wielding fan during promoting the campaign during a TV interview. All credit to him for keeping a straight face; he said it was sweet in the same way Mrs Brown would say "That's Nice"

Bless :D

Wow, what a flop campaign. Didn't know about the Spice Girls one but remembered about the Girls Aloud 'Untouchable's one which didn't even chart.

And I really liked Jessica's version at the time, it's very sweet!

As much as I hate Robbie and the song at least the fans got it to #98, when some have failed to chart.

Post deleted. Can we please find politer ways to express opinions without resorting to swearing and insults? Thanks.
