So I think Xtina and Louisa Johnson are on the same wavelength right now.

YES is an incredible pop bop, this is just a weird mess, Jessie J - Wild gone wrong

I like it , the song is too long tho.

What song is sampled at the end with the ooohs?

Mess.

I didn't realise Fergie was re-releasing 'Double Dutchess'.

This sums it up well  It's not dated or anything but it just kinda feels like a forced attempt at being all Beyonce self-titled thought out and it comes out as pretentious and really not her.

I don’t see how it’s pretentious really? I like that Xtina seems to have passion for something now and doesn’t care about dividing opinions.

My only criticism is that I wish it had more Christina!

Think I really like this?

Love the production and the 2 Chainz part is 👌🏼

I agree, the song itself isn't terrible - just a little too long - but the visual is so forced and hard to believe it's how a 37-year-old mum of two wants to come across.

Anyway, she's confirmed the title of the album is 'Liberation' and the full tracklist:

Out 15th June.

My first listen on Spotify had me a bit "wtf", but after the second listen with the video I feel more favourable towards it. I agree it's very left field though, and I'd be amazed if it did anything beyond some first week hype in the US.

I'm liking her newfound minimal make up look! Quite a nice album cover.

Loving the glitchy and eccentric production, this is considerably better than I was expecting.

All things considered this is a pretty great comeback single

Loving it atm! I agree with whoever said its her best lead since Dirrty. I'd love it if this is the year she made a triumphant comeback.

Lead single ranking

1. Dirrty

2. Genie In A Bottle

3. Accelerate

4. Ain't No Other Man

5. Not Myself Tonight

6. Keeps Gettin' Better

7. Your Body

it's awful. it sounds like fergie's attempts at coming back and trend hopping but put through a xtina blender. xtina always takes things that are roughly happening trendswise, gives them a go but during the process STRIPS it of all subtlety and tact. that's how we got your body (which i love) and not myself tonight - the product of trend-hopping maximalism. if it's not a gay-centred trash anthem it never seems to go well for her, she always needs to make something thats a little tongue in cheek.

WHAT. THE. ACTUAL?

This is really nothingy. At this point in her career, I don't want her trying to be cool - just give us a god damn BANGER!

I think the opposite. She has nothing to prove at this point - she's aged out of the machine.

I much prefer when artists realise they're free to experiment when they're past mainstream success. You really can just do what you want (good and bad) and see what happens without that pressure. I wish more would do it.

This to me feels like she's trying to prove something. Like, attempting the kind of 'arty' urban a lot of current artists are doing.
