Hideaway needs to be a huge smash  Glad to see it doing well, and that's without R1 play listing (although I imagine it'll get on the playlist next week)

 199. Kiesza - Hideaway [pre-order]

:o ready to kill.

(shame they had to push the release date back to April, but that's not unexpected these days~)

This needs to smash! One of my favourites so far this year!

i imagine next week might be too early to get on the playlist (April 13 is quite far away yet), but i'm very confident it'll get BIG support from them!

Great seeing Katy B's "Crying For No Reason" back in the T10 on iTunes. Could it potentially go on to become her best seller? What's "Katy On a Mission" and "Broken Record" on now?
^ I don't know, but Broken Record definitely won't be her biggest seller. I think it was somewhere between 100,000 and 150,000 by the end of 2011? Lights On and Katy On a Mission sold way more.

So glad that Human is starting to climb, such an amazing song, Christina is such an underrated artist.

With two songs selling over 500K in the UK and over 3 million in the US, not that underrated. :P

'Lights On' sold 343k by Y/E 2011 - so I'd say it's still a little under 400k by now, considering it was a hit at the start of that year. Unless there's a Y/E top 200 for 2011 somewhere(?), I don't know figures for 'Katy On A Mission'. It was at 277k at the end of 2010 but had more weeks on the chart than 'Lights On' so I'd say they've sold similar amounts in total. This is all very rough but I think 'Crying For No Reason' has a good chance of outselling them if it continues to hold up well.

Crying for no reason was awful the first time i heard it. Love it now! Can see why its holding up too

How was CFNR even awful in the first place :o It's gorgeous

This track is really growing on me quite a lot, and I have to agree the track needs to smash.

The last total I can find for Katy On A Mission is 347.5k - which was in July 2011, so it's probably added to that total since then.

I'd argue as an artist she is. Yes she had two massive hits but I don't think people appreciate her, they just know the songs :(

You hit the nail on the head I think. I assume the name "Christina Perri" won't mean much to many people, but "Jar of Hearts" or "A Thousand Years" would. Similar to Alyssa Reid I think, no-one cared for her as an artist but Alone Again was known by loads of people. Hence why she became a one-hit wonder. Same for many other artists also I think.

Ah right, thanks. So I'd imagine that's still her highest seller then, maybe a small bit above 400k. If only we were given updated figures when she hit #1 in the album chart....

Definitely not over 400k, otherwise it would have been certified Gold!
Oh. Do labels always certify every single that eventually trickles past a milestone? (genuine question, as I don't know how efficient these things are).
Labels used not to bother much with single certifications but it's automated now (for post-1994 sales anyway).

Makes sense. Never paid much attention to UK single certifications so didn't know that, thanks!

Is anyone else surprised 'Goodness Gracious' has barely moved since Ellie's Graham Norton performance? Granted, a lot of people already own the song (and the performance itself wasn't great) but I would have expected it to get a boost to about #12 or something :P. Looks like this week will be its peak then.
