Less said about Kylie the better, I'm too upset this is a great track but the release strategy has been a complete shambles. They should have held the track back until the Voice live shows, do a live performance on Saturday and release on Sunday but maybe they want to focus on the album which I now fear will also struggle to make number one

those that bought the single version (now deleted) spend another 99p and now download the album version to double her sales.....if you want to get her top 10.... its actually a opportunity....which wasn't there before unless you pre-ordered the album.

Outside of R1, Kylie's airplay has been pretty decent Enrique or Flo Rida aren't on R1 either. You're correct. It comes down the the british public being like sheep and caring more about what they think is "coo"l over what's actually decent pop music.

 

Wait, where are these people who think Enrique and Flo Rida are cool? I've never seen any of them, but you can't move for people calling Kylie "iconic" and stuff like that. I presume this is actually part of the reason R1 stuck with her until relatively late. People like songs by Flo Rida (though not many people seem to like all of them).

Couldn't you have done that even if the single version wasn't deleted anyway?

 

And even if there was only one version all along another way to multi-buy is to go to all the different stores (like Amazon, etc.) and buy it.

No .... as I said... the album version was only available as a freebie with a pre-order of the full album....... now it avail without having to do that.. hence the song entered ITunes high and just kept falling because no one could buy....

 

of course we can multi-buy..... don't you think some of us already did? :)

'Sweater Weather' has finally clicked with me today after finding it quite dull the first few listens. Hope it can be a bit of a sleeper hit but with R1 likely to drop it fairly soon that's probably unlikely.

 

Great track, was my no 1 last month. It has only been alisted on radio 1 for 2 weeks so it might stay a bit longer but it's playlist life has been strange - record of the day over a month ago then c listed for 2 weeks, b listed for 2 weeks & finally moved to the a list, annoyingly slow love from the station!!

I'm personally surprised - I never knew you disliked those artists and liked Kylie :o I thought you'd have a much bigger problem with Pixie Lott and Christina Perri beating her.
