Has a song ever been on pre-order, released (accidentally or otherwise) and then put back on pre-order before? Not sure they can really backtrack on this...

I have a feeling the original release of 'Na Na' was a mistake, it was retracted from sale and put on pre-order very quickly.

The thing with 'Animals' was an illegal release while the actual release remained on pre-orders. This is the actual version of 'Summer' that's been released. Assuming it's not an error, I'm glad to see him releasing it so early, although on a Monday and in a week where it has absolutely no chance of #1 (this week at least) is not the best move. It should hopefully have greater longevity than 'Under Control' though.

Smart move on Calvin Harris' part as far as I'm concerned - should be a decent seller with "Summer"; let's hope it can pick up a bit quicker now!

Expecting this to be top 100 soon, is now out and I don't believe the feed's updated yet, as it would've had enough pre-orders for at least top 100 after being top 300 for most of the past week.

Yeah me too. They should have just left it and hoped for the best. It would have gone Top 10 and probably had a better chart run than previous Calvin singles.

Kesha - We R Who We R got released as part of a compilation accidentally a week or two before it was officially released, and as a result charted at something like #97 with the few days it was available for. It still went to #1 when it got released officially.

Also Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie Part II (broken down version without Eminem) was meant to be album only but had a day or two where it was available to download. It charted at #160 as a result but went top 40 on iTunes iirc.
