Duke Dumont slaying all your faves

Example only #10 in the midweeks probably means he'll drop out by Sunday. I think the song will have a chart run similar to 'All the Wrong Places' too (ouch at his fading relevance)

Oops at Dvbbs falling to #5 on week 2. I hope it does a Martin Garrix/Storm Queen and hold up but I fear that it'll do a Bingo Players :(

Hopefully Trey Songz misses the top 20 by Sunday.

The claims of Kylie flopping and her career being over is getting ridiculous - she's outselling all but one album!

at a time when the average number 1 album sells between 15-20 k , it's not that much of an achievement, especially since her last studio album Aphrodite sold almost 80k..... so selling 25 k and reaching number 2 with 'Kiss me once' will be considered a huge step backwards and will surely be labeled by the media as a flop...

She's bounced back from flops before, so I really don't think her career is down the flusher just yet.

yes, but she was 32 at the time when 'Spinning around' was out.... at 46 she doesn't have that luxury anymore...

it's a do or die situation for her....

If you talking about age, Katy B is much younger her second album didn't do that well on sales of 22,892 for the week.

Pages and pages of whether Kylie has flopped or not.

Can't you guys discuss it in a separate thread.

It's really boring now.

Oh noes!

Seriously, do you really think she'll care? So what if she never has commercial success again, she will never be out of pocket and could probably fund her own music if the record company ever gave up on her which is unlikely anyway. Do you have to be doom and gloom all the time?

Anyhow this is a thread topic for other artists as well not just Kylie. We do have a stand alone Kylie forum to discuss if her career is going to flop or not.

Thrilled to see Duke Dumont storming his way to No1! :yahoo: It's a shame DVBBS & Borgeous look to be taking a 'non number one' style dive, I hope it can sustain some degree of longevity. :)

very bad sales for Kylie.... at this point she will struggle to sell 30 k of her album which is even less than her acoustic 'Abbey Road' album... this whole era was a complete mess-up for her....

for her to miss out on the number 1 spot in such a low sales climate then i would have to say her career is pretty much over to say the least... :(

I agree Kylie's sales are low in comparison to her previous albums and I think there was the expectation that this album would sell well given the fact she changed management to Jay Z. However, I don't think her career is over but I do feel the time has now come for her to change record label and aim for a more mature sound that reflects her age and ability as an artist rather than releasing something which is aiming to stay relevant and marketed particularly towards the younger generation. As a long time Kylie fan, I feel completely underwhelmed by her new album and feel she is capable of much better.

16.7k sales is great for 2 days of sales!!!

Ellie Goulding took over a year to get her album up to number 1 and it sold less than 20k to do that...

Kylie Will do just fine..... Pharrel sold over 1m of his single and sold 69k albums.. Kylie 25k of single and will sell 25-30k albums....plus she has not started any promo yet!!!!!!!!!!!

Has she not done any promo for it yet? I had no idea!

Thank goodness George Michael looks certain to be number one.

At the risk of getting lynched I never have nor ever will understand the fascination for Kylie Minogue. Not having a dig, just not my cup of tea at all. The only song of hers I truly liked was 'Some Kind Of Bliss' which funnily enough was one if her lowest charting singles and isn't very popular by all accounts lol.

I've always followed Kylie and been a big fan for years but not getting her new album at all. Never been a big fan of George Michael but think its incredible he's going to be number one with a part live album after a lengthy break too.

Such a great song, so underrated, although listening to the production and considering the songwriters, perhaps it should have been called Manic Street Preachers feat Kylie, would probably have had more success that way! It would be in my top three Kylie songs alongside All The Lovers and What Do I Have To Do!

Anyway, so I don't get told off for continuing the Kylie chat, good to see John Legend climbing into the top 3, I don't LOVE it but it's nice to see a song steadily grow in popularity like that and he always deserved a properly big hit here. I downloaded his album seeing as it was 99p on Amazon, but haven't listened to it yet.

I think John Legend could be a future number 1 or a lengthy stayer in top10. Its got classic hit written all over it.

I really don't think it matters for Kylie, really. All of the popstars from her generation aren't anywhere near as big as they once were.

It's just the way it goes, at least she'll be successful with touring and have eternal fan support.

What did paloma shift on the first two days of sales wasnt it also 17k.
