I don't really agree, Enrique isn't exactly the biggest name in America these days and it's not exactly American sounding, 'Mr President' isn't even on the main album and 'Sexercize' has that cheap dubstep sound which was more popular in the UK a couple of years ago.

I hope we get some decent b sides rather than the usual crappy remixes.

Although I like her doing physicals, I'm not looking forward to the possibility of the CD being £8 again. :o I'm sure Parlophone could shift more copies if the price was more reasonable.

I too would love b sides as in general remixes do nothing for me, i agree b sides and a reasonably priced physical release would give the single a boost, although its a single i will be buying for the collection only, hopefully a good b side will help me play it a few times as i was gonna cancel does not float my boat at all, for those of you who know my dislike for confide in me will understand how i much i dislike i was gonna cancel when i say its worse than confide in me.

there should be 2 CD's priced 2.99 and 3.99 and free p&p and it would sell.... 4.99 plus 2.99 p&p is a complete rip off

Its too expensive for a single, the different versions would be a huge help, i do miss the days of cd 1 and cd 2 plus vinyl plus dvd singles, we really were spoilt with the fever era.

I'd say this will probably be the 3rd weakest of the Parlo singles, ahead of 'Red Blooded Woman' and 'Better Than Today'.

It in my opinion is her worst parlophone single and there is not much in her SAW catalogue and deconstruction that is worse than it. Love is a feeling is probably the only single that is worse than it.

I'd say the likes of 'Tears On My Pillow' and 'Celebration' are easily worse than this.

 

The only problem with this song is it doesn't have a strong chorus and it doesn't sound like a single, as a song it's not too bad.

The days of obvious singles with big choruses are behind us now anyway. Some of the songs taking off today are more about the vibe. Either way it's very obvious to me Kylie won't score hits anymore with songs that stick closely to the "Kylie sound", like Into the Blue or Les Sex. People just aren't here for that. So why not take a risk?

 

Of the Parlo singles I personally find Chocolate, 2 Hearts, Wow, Get Outta My Way, Better Than Today, Put Your Hands Up all to be weaker. I'd say it's on a par with In Your Eyes, Please Stay and Red Blooded Woman.

I was gonna cancel is one of my least favourite parlophone songs. I don't think its her weakest single release; there have been others including where is the feeling, celebration etc. I think its on par with the likes of chocolate. Definitely not a strong release but its hard to know what will do well from the album as it lacks killer songs.

I feel it has that "Get lucky" vibe.

I'd say it's on a par with In Your Eyes, Please Stay and Red Blooded Woman.

But 'I Was Gonna Cancel' isn't flawless in every single way though! :D

That lyric video made me like the song a whole lot more :o I like Red Blooded Woman, IYE and Please Stay. I think it's more on the lines of Better than Today and Some Kind Of Bliss for me :)
