The ones where songs without physical singles couldn't chart? There wouldn't be many left...

Hahah, you're actually right. Saturdays and Vamps would be topping the chart all the time

Changes probably best dance song of the year to be released, until Hideaway then Jubel haha

Ricky Wilson and co. claim their second UK Number 1 album with Education, Education, Education & War.

It’s always a gamble joining a reality TV show, particularly one involving signing, but for Ricky Wilson it seems to have paid off.

The Voice coach and his band mates, the Kaiser Chiefs, have today emerged victorious over Sam Bailey, winner of rival show The X Factor, and have gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with Education, Education, Education & War.

The Leeds band’s fifth album has been neck-and-neck with Sam’s The Power Of Love (Number 2) all week, and it was just 44 copies ahead of the X Factor star’s debut album on Friday’s Official Charts Company sales flash. However, Education… surged ahead at the eleventh hour, and finishes the week nearly 2,000 copies ahead of its closest rival.

Hahah, you're actually right. Saturdays and Vamps would be topping the chart all the time

And Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You for around 10-12 weeks :o

Can't believe Kaiser Chiefs actually held on! :o Last minute promo far more effective than I expected. Love it ~

Yes - who would have thought appearing on The Voice would have had such a big effect... :P

Oh! I didn't know Changes was number 1 in several countries! :o

Still love this dance track. One of my favourites of the year.

It's the song Mercedes-Benz is using for their last commercial which probably helped the song to sell worldwide.

Lucky for the Kaiser Chiefs that The Voice UK performance managed to provide a big enough last minute boost to get #1.
Kylie down to #13 and Shakira staying at #14 in the albums, not too bad for either of them. I can't remember where the She Wolf album was in its second week.

Christina only beating her debut by one place is surprising. Thought Band Of Skulls might have managed a top 10 with the follow-up to 'Sweet Sour' as well, though I hadn't heard anything of this album before this week so not too unexpected.

Changes

The sample makes it sound so haunting and the sax is pure brilliance.

What does it sample actually?

If only Happy had been #5 last week. Then it would have gone 1-2-3-4-5-6. Also, it wouldn't have moved more than one place for the last 16 weeks! :o
Surprised John Legend's got a #2! I haven't noticed him ahead on iTunes at all, I'm sure the sales difference between John and Duke was tiny!
