New 6 part Tuesday evening BBC thriller starring Sarah Lancashire as cop Catherine Cawood who's daughter committed suicide after being raped and having a baby. She blames her death on the rapist, Tommy, who was never reported for the attack but imprisoned for drug dealing. Now he's out and has kidnapped a woman. Can Catherine catch him and save the woman's life?

Chris, your thread titles are so ugly. The programme title with all other info in the sub header would quite suffice!

Your wish is my command and thanks for pointing it out. Didn't realise. :)

Much better, cheers.

I doubt if I'll watch but Sarah Lancashire is amazing. She's so good in Last Tango.

This is written by the same person, so I imagine you'd enjoy it if you enjoyed that. And it's also set in Yorkshire! I'll try and watch a few of these but I don't have much time for hour-long programmes any more :(

I thought this was rather good.

Yup, me too, although I could have done with subtitles. The Yorkshire accents were

Wow at tonight's episode. Sarah Lancashire is an incredible actress! So gripping, definitely one of the best TV series this year!

I was gripped in fact every episode has had me hooked from start to end! Sarah Lancashire is amazing, if she doesn't win awards for this there's something wrong with the world!

Can't wait for next weeks episode!

Wonder if there'll be another series with her investigating another crime.
I've heard nothing but raves about this. I'll have to find time to watch soon.
Love it so much. The whole cast has been brilliant in their roles except maybe the likes of Kirstie but she isn't a major character anyway. Love the fact that the individual stories are slowly coming together for Catherine and there hasn't been any WTF why did that just happen moments, very well thought out plot.
I'm glad to see this getting approval! Despite the initial dislike towards most characters, I'm really starting to love this. It terrifies me throughout, but I love it. Sarah Lancashire has been excellent throughout and Charlie Murphy came into her own in the last scenes this week (I've only before seen her in The Village but I predict good things for her). Steve Pemberton is playing his usual damp quib role, the less of him the better, but everyone else is so so good. I can't believe there are still two more episodes until it's resolved though.

I actually really enjoyed this, a pretty decent drama from the BBC for a change, a great watch hope it returns for another series and Sarah Lancashire is a brilliant actress and I always enjoy seeing her on TV

This is excellent! I checked it out as everyone around me has been talking about it all week, I've watched 2 episodes and it really is gripping stuff! Sarah Lancashire has always been excellent and she really excels herself here.

Can't wait to watch more, I'm about to watch the third episode. :D

Just finished the first episode. It was good, but not exactly *amazing*. There's potential, so hopefully it picks up in the next couple of episodes. Sarah Lancashire was as fabulous as ever though! I swear nearly everybody who's guest-starred in Doctor Who is in this though :kink:
