Kimberly has Deana-esque potential for being misunderstood and distrusted by housemates (due to cultural reasons and because she seems opinionated) but increasingly popular on the outside due to being a decent person. Obviously far too early to tell but I think she'll be a key housemate.

Good opening night - not too many obvious wannabees and some strong characters which seems promising :D.

So people automatically dislike Danielle because she's a Christian with standard Christian views? lol

To be fair, we only have first impressions so far so that's basically all we have to judge her on. I think it's fair enough ~

The pragmatics of her whole "god made man and woman" spiel were that homosexuality isn't natural, that's what I took from it anyway...

She's free to have her views which are unsurprising given her faith, but we're equally as free to not agree and dislike her for them. She'll no doubt be interesting anyway, I'm sure she'll cause a stir with her views which will of course be amazing! She could be a "questionable person, great housemate" type I think.

She was explaining herself - would have been a bit 'err' if she had said "I'M A CHRISTIAN SO BEWARE!!1!" :kink:

And from what I gather, that's not exactly a 'standard' christian view.

Pauline and Christopher are my early faves with Kimberley and Matthew with growing potential.

Her child is 11?? She's not exactly much older than I am! :o

And that child is, presumably, changing schools in the autumn but she doesn't seem too bothered about that.

but we're equally as free to not agree and dislike her for them.

well that's quite shallow...

I assume it was the 'not agreeing with same sex marriage' which is a statement that is naturally going to get quite a few people's backs up, especially on this forum which is largely dominated by homosexuals. I do respect that her view is down to her religion but is a generally controversial statement to make that will always divide opinion, I guess?

I'm a gay guy who doesn't have a great first impression of a woman who basically implied homosexuality is unnatural, wow what a shock :o Admittedly dislike is a bit strong based on a first impression then but I don't agree with her views and I can't see myself liking her at all, like I said she should at least be an interesting housemate which is the main thing but I find her views quite New Right, traditional but a bit primitive to me.

I don't exactly agree with her views either, but I wouldn't be hating her for it when all she's done is tell us that that is how she feels re. the subject.

Well it's come up twice now here, but i think it's natural to form strong opinions on the housemates after only hearing their VTs because that's just what happens on the show and it's all we have to go on.

The fact that no other housemate admitted to being against same sex marriage automatically loses Danielle a few points. I'm sure she's lovely (even though she's the first to start semi-bitching) but based on *FIRST* impressions which is all we have to go on, she's not exactly coming across in the best light in comparison to the others.

What do we think the twist tomorrow is ? I reckon Pauline will either have to pick someone to get an early eviction or have to pick which of the 6 new housemates tomorrow actually get to become housemates .
I vote that we barr Calum from all the BB Forums until October. Who's with me?

Oh, I like this! I was thinking earlier that they only had 14 housemates last year and there's gonna be 16 this year, so maybe Pauline will have to pick two not to join the house, as you say?! Unlikely but it would be very interesting!

Emma said it was something they have not done before at this stage before and to my knowledge I don't think they have done this before so It would be a good twist .

I think they've only done housemates having the power to evict as a twist a couple of times in the whole of BB, I remember Gerry being chosen to be evicted over Carole by one or both of the twins and one or two other housemates who won a task (I think they were "gurus" as part of the task?), I also read that Jade Goody was up for the first eviction of BB3 but the housemates evicted the other woman who was up for eviction instead, which was seen as quite significant as Jade was hated by the public at the time so probably would have been evicted and not been such a celebrity! I think I'll be quite disappointed if the twist isn't an eviction of some sort, even if it's Pauline having to choose two of the 6 newbies tomorrow to send home, I quite like the idea! I can't see what else it could be though that's such a different type of twist...
