I've heard good remixes of 'This Is What It Feels Like', it's just the main version is like substandard Guetta-esque.

'Red Lights' however is just bad, but at least it's not as bad as 'Wasted'...

That's still one more than the acceptable amount ~ (I'd have forgiven him if 'This Is What It Feels Like' was actually a good song but it really wasn't. On the other hand 'Red Lights' actually is a fairly good song IMO as sell-out-y as it was).

I don't even understand why they do it. They're so famous, they don't need to do songs like that, and that kind of music isn't even particularly successful anymore. I just can't think of the logic behind this. Unknown artists are doing less mainstream music and getting to #1 every other week.

I know it does net belong here, but anyway can someone explain me the meaning of "Wasted" in the Tiesto song. Is it "being drunk" oder "wasting sth. (e. g. money)

I like Red Lights and this Is What It Feels Like. Perhaps the artists WANT to make a song like that regardless of whether it sounds mainstream or not?

When will this dance phase finish? I hate it. Mr Probz, Sigma (well this was OK), Kiesza, Duke Dumont, that crap Tsunami song.

Its been a rubbish year :(

I'm just so over these similar sounding dance tracks get to number 1 every week. They are soooo boring.

And hardly any of them do well in the USA.

I agree, but it looks very likely that Ella Henderson and Ariana Grande will do well (probably #01 for both) so I am happy. It just all feels so anonymous, I dont even hate the songs, they are just kind of there really? They do not make much impact on me at all - positive or negative, just boring I guess.

YES! Thank you Jack....you have summed it up perfectly.

These songs just exist. They don't really make a huge impact and are just kinda forgotten about. They are boring

Like who will realistically be playing Tsunami or even remember it by next year.

And YES at Ariana Grande  Problem is amazeballs

Being drunk.

381. Demi Lovato - Really Don't Care (feat. Cher Lloyd)

1095. Demi Lovato - Neon Lights (Pre-order)

'Really Don't Care' is doing fantastically well considering its success must only be due to the lyric video at the moment.

Can't believe Lana is still only #15, when that indifferent remix of Summertime Sadness made #4. :(

Personally I think they've made a mistake not skipping over Neon Lights and focusing on getting "Really Don't Care" to be a big hit (or at least top 20).

Looks like a third number 1 this year that samples a song but has re-recorded vocals by a different singer following on from Duke Dumont and Sigma.

I find 'Wasted' quite catchy, sounds like the Neighbours theme tune! :P

Mr Probz, Keisza and Duke sound very little alike. Tsunami is just crap.

I don't see why our chart has to be similar to the US one? They have a more urban leaning over there, always have. Bar the early 00s we've always been more pop/dance.

Klingande now in dark green on Kworb with Secondcity on white. I think the play that 'Jubel' has had on Capital FM a couple of hours ago in the Big Top 40 has caused the increase for 'Jubel' and shows what may have been possible with regular airplay on Capital!

I wouldn't say the US is that urban anymore. They seem to have more variety than us. They have pop/commercial dance/rap and country.

It is to me. :)

The entire point of the term 'commercial' is that it appeals to people *outside* her fanbase (or in this case doesn't).
