Singles that took most weeks Top 75 to make the Top 10

35 wks - Back To Black - Amy Winehouse

26 wks - Blue Monday - New Order

25 wks - White Lines (Don't Don't Do It) - Grandmaster Flash & Melle Mel

23 wks - One Day Like This - Elbow

21 wks - Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

20 wks - Love Me Do - Beatles

20 wks - Dancing In The Moonlight - Toploader

19 wks - You've Got The Love - Florence & The Machine

17 wks - So Macho/Cruising - Sinitta

There is a bigger chance of an error on this one the way I've had to build the queries than most of my other lists, so it could do with some checking

I never knew that about 'Blue Monday', why did that have such a strange chart run? Entering, going as high as #12, dropping out then re-entering a few weeks later and climbing all the way up to #9 :o I did know about the slow-burning run of 'White Lines (Don't Do It)' although that also wasn't quite a fully consecutive run and obviously 'Back To Black' wasn't either (probably should have remembered that one during the discussion about 'One Day Like This' the other day, was trying to think of other songs that reached the top 10 a while after their original chart run and the longest one I could think of was 'Cannonball' which was only 11 weeks).

'Let It Go' would be the furthest into a *consecutive* chart run that a song enters the top 10 for the first time based on that. Don't think it's gonna happen now though, it really looks on course to be #11 again. Incidentally that may still be another record anyway, could you check if any songs have previously spent 4+ weeks at a peak of #11? That should be a lot easier to search for probably.

'One Day Like This' got top 10 on its 24th week by my count, is 23 a typo?

Most weeks at number 11 (not necessarily consecutive)

Position : 11 - 4 weeks

Bill Haley & His Comets - The Saints Rock'n'Roll

Bryan Adams - Run To You

Jimmy Young - Eternally

Mr Acker Bilk with the Leon Young String Chorale - Stranger On The Shore

Ron Goodwin - Terry's Theme (Theme From "Limelight")

Roy C - Shotgun Wedding

Tommy Dorsey Orchestra Starring Warren Covington - Tea For Two Cha Cha

Checking my run for Elbow with Polyhex I find I'm missing a week at Number 74 for it, I'd made a typo and called it "One Day Lkie This" so I've corrected that, thanks for spotting the fact I had an error.
