Will Sam Smith wanna feel jubilant if Coldplay stay with the #1?

Yet another dance battle for #1 occurs this week, this time with Secondcity's 'I Wanna Feel' and Klingande's 'Jubel'. Adding a softer sound to the Top 3 should be last week's number one 'Stay With Me' by Sam Smith. Other new entries should come from Ellie Goulding's song for the soundtrack to Divergent, 'Beating Heart', Scottish alternative-rock band Twin Atlantic's 'Heart and Soul' and Lana Del Rey's lead single 'West Coast' for her anticipated second album Ultraviolence. Also, Nicki Minaj's single 'Pills n Potions' - which was released late last week - should be heading for a big climb this week.

 

He has a hat-trick of #1 singles under his belt and now 2014's Critic Choice award winner Sam Smith is aiming to debut at the position with his album In the Lonely Hour. However he'll have big competition from Coldplay who could be heading for a second week on top after headlining Radio 1's Big Weekend, along with their upcoming appearance on Graham Norton on Friday. Joining them in the Top 10 should be Neil Young's 35th(!!) studio album and Mariah Carey's new album.

I wouldn't rule out Sam Smith getting a second week yet, seems to be catching up on iTunes, he could actually do the double :o

I can't see 'I Wanna Feel' being one of the definitive tracks of the year but I'd love it to go to #1 despite that as I really love it. Sam Smith's already had his time :P Plus it'll keep the run of changing #1s going, which will annoy certain buzzjack users :lol:

I feel like I Wanna Feel is a better My Love, but apparently not according to the public. My Love is a bit boring now but I Wanna Feel is so much more livelier and fun, shame it'll be forgotten with probably a low sales week that a lot of the other dance hits.

I would say it’s pretty obvious that Secondcity will have an unassailable lead with 6+ weeks of pre-order sales; it won’t be close even if Sam Smith returns to No1 on iTunes. ‘I Wanna Feel’ should easily clear 110k this week, with Sam Smith selling another ~90k.

I'd prefer Sam to get a 2nd week. I wouldn't be saying that about MOMM but SWM is such a grower imo. Really nice track.

What's the issue? Sam Smith is very popular and it's hardly the worst #1 ever, go figure. Also, it won't do much apart from keep him at #2.
