If Anastacia can make top 10, then I'd have thought Mariah would easily make it.

Mariah has enough extremely loyal fans to achieve top 10 in opening week in a low sales climate, i would agree that if Anastacia can achieve top 10 Mariah Carey definitely can. Sunny side Up by Paolo Nutini will make a top 10 return due to the Google Play. I would like Kylie to try and go for that Google Play and help create more awareness of the album in addition to it getting a chart bump.

Oh, so 'Do It Again' is being counted as an album - despite only having 5 tracks? I thought 6 was the minimum for an album? Confusion.

I see a worship music act in the top 40 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ed2305b7.png

Wow at One Direction making it into the top 10, despite the highest single version not even being in the top 40 on iTunes. They are highly unlikely to hold onto the top 10 (or even 20) come Sunday, but at least this should out-peak the awful Midnight Memories.

You and I by One Direction and beating heart by Ellie Goulding are far higher than i expected, i do believe they will trail off during the week but low top 20 for both could happen which is good. John Legend looks likely to remain top 5, adore adore the song

Really did not expect Sam Smith to have such high album sales, i would like for it to reach 100,000 this week and have 2 weeks of albums making a debut with sales of 100,000 and over. Peter Andre will trail later in the week but it will achieve another top 40 album to his credit.

Can i request my usual, Gary Barlow position, please

1D being as high as #8 gives hope that they will chart at at least #19, making their chart history marginally less anomalous. Yay.

Looks like Secondcity is gonna take some beating. I do hope he hangs on as 'I Wanna Feel' is much better than 'Stay With Me' although I wouldn't complain at a song actually spending 2 weeks in a row at #1 at last

Ellie is still climbing on iTunes and has only just entered the top 10, I think she'll almost certainly be higher later in the week especially as she's sure to overtake 1D and Twin Atlantic.

It already has. :P

#23

It already has. :P

Oh yes, true - I did actually know that. I doubt it'll re-peak though.

Jubel quite close to #2, hopefully should hold on to the top 3 like Changes did. quite impressive for a song with no Capital FM support

what a result for Twin Atlantic as well! will probably drop off a lot by Sunday, hope it still makes the top 20

Oops Little Mix have edged out of the 40, just by a minor place, that Snowman track is at #40, bugger :(

That rule would be a bit of a blow for any revival of Tubular Bells which has only two tracks but is definitely an album. Two of the tracks on Do It Again are nearly ten minutes long and the whole thing is around 35 minutes.

Do you know where Happy - Pharrell and Sheezus (album) - Lily Allen are today? :)

Happy #15

Sheezus #16

Happy #15

Sheezus #16

Sheezus' chart run is going to look awful really..
