Been thinking a lot recently that Katy's greatest hits album, if (or when) it happens, and this was also inspired by a post I saw acidburn make in one of the poll threads. My question is, what would you put on the tracklisting? Would you include all singles or exclude some? Any album tracks you'd tag on as bonus tracks? Feel free to be as creative as you want also, I'm gonna try and work on a CD cover for it alongside my tracklisting.

Post away!

Well I wouldn't like her to cut any singles but when she comes round to releasing it, I can't imagine her keeping ALL of them.

If she released it after the Prism campaign this is what I'd like:

1. Firework

2. Roar

3. New Track (lead single)

4. California Gurls

5. I Kissed A Girl

6. Dark Horse

7. Teenage Dream

8. E.T.

9. Hot N Cold

10. Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)

11. New Track

12. Part Of Me

13. Wide Awake

14. Birthday

15. Legendary Lovers

16. Waking Up In Vegas

17. Thinking Of You

18. The One That Got Away

19. Unconditionally

20. Walking On Air

21. New Track

22. New Track

Of course a bonus DVD with all the videos is a MUST

I think a disc of ten fan favourites would be good as well to go with the main CD!

A Greatest Hits should only actually include HITS, kinda the point. If she wanted all of her singles on it, call it a Singles Collection. I'm pretty fussy about things

like that.

Well treat the term "greatest hits" however you want, I'm personally not that fussy when it comes to things like that and feel that all singles, or as many as possible, should be included. :kink:

I like it when 'Greatest Hits'/'Singles Collections' go in chronological order. I know it's "the lazy way" but it shows how much the artist progresses throughout their careers. It also irritates me when they miss certain singles off (The Killers were terrible for this last year! R.I.P. 'Bones' :drama:). So I'd rather they released two discs if they had to!

I think all artists should also have a DVD of all the videos on their greatest hits, too! Kelly Clarkson got it bang on (except the track order was messy and she missed a fair few videos iirc, despite the songs being on the tracklist.

Obviously 2 or 3 new tracks is an added bonus!

EDIT: YES ROB! LMAO.

I loved Kelly's GH, Catch My Breath and People Like Us = two of my favourite videos from her! I hope Katy takes notes ;)

Adam's track list is quite good, but I would make the floppy singles (Birthday, Legendary Lovers, Waking Up In Vegas, Thinking Of You, Unconditionally and Walking On Air) deluxe edition only, and I'd only have 2 new tracks on the album, so 14 songs in total on the main track list.

Both new tracks would be released as singles, one of them premiering and released six weeks before the album, with the UK release date of the song one month after its premiere. The other would be a post-album single featuring a hot rapper (Iggy Azalea?) Could be a big era for her if they push it right.

You need Jesus. The only floppy and bad song in there is Birthday

I think if she released one next, the only track I could see being potentially excluded would be 'Thinking Of You' as everything else has been a pretty sizeable hit at least in the US (well, I am aware of 'Unconditionally' but I know she loves that song too much to allow it to be excluded).

What a smashing collection it would be though, a pretty incredible singles discography thus far.

Also YES to the suggestion of 'Greatest Tits', and to recreate the scene from the 'California Gurls' video on the cover.

then a separately released DVD with all of the music videos, similar to what Girls Aloud did for Ten.

Artwork ideas (all three have their benefits I think and I can't decide which one to post so all three are being posted):

GREAT idea for cover art! Has to be the first or second one (or both obvs, one for the deluxe version), the background images aren't identifiable enough on the last one. Love it!

Thank you!! I thought that but then I thought they could be a bit too overbearing in the first two, so I made a more subtle one just in case :kink:
I'm genuinely upset that we're not getting this album (at least for a while yet) and those aren't going to be the artwork! :( They'd all look so good in physical form!

An EP would suffice

1. Dark Horse

2. I Kissed A Girl

3. Firework

4. New song
