Poor Sarah absolutely devastating!

I wish we could pool the worlds resources like we have for the Corona vaccine and find a cure for this horrid bast*rd of a disease!

Her outlook is amazing and I hope she has the contentment she longed for, for so long for however long she has left with us. It's an incredibly sad story and heartbreaking for her. Cancer is just horrific.

I honestly don't know what to say; I just feel numb and completely devastated. I think we all knew it didn't sound too good to start with, but I still had some hope she would survive this. I've literally grown up with Girls Aloud and they have meant so much to me over the years, that it almost feel like a friend or family member. I wish her and her mum all the best in these times <3

Does anyone have The Times article/ interview with her from today? It's behind a paywall and rather not give that paper any money.

It's really awful news to hear when I was hoping to hear some positive news about her condition, the worst thing is this has happened with Covid restrictions still around too (although Covid restrictions are of course there to protect people with cancer and going through treatment from getting Covid which could be very dangerous for them).

This is very true, my friends dad had cancer but they said he had a very high chance of survival, he caught COVID and died this week. So sad.

Absolutely devastating news today, really hit me hard. So emotional. Praying for a miracle

Yeah I am hoping she will be a second Wilko Johnson (guitarist for the band Dr Feelgood who got a terminal cancer diagnosis but survived cancer).

I can’t really comprehend this. I’m devastated :( My heart goes out to Sarah.
I hope Girls Aloud will reform and release a single now.

I'm sure reforming is the last thing in any of their minds right now.

Absolutely! I think we can safely say the girls will never perform anymore, which is not important at all at the moment. The only thing that counts at the moment is Sarah and her health.

I'm so sorry to read this. I remember finding out she had cancer last year (round about the same time as Tom from The Wanted announced his tumor) and figured she maybe had good news in the meantime and that's why we hadn't heard from her. :(

I hope Hear Me Out can go to number 1 on iTunes as a tribute for her. I have always liked her.

Initially I thought Tom from The Wanted had a worse prognosis than Sarah and while I knew both were serious I had hopes that with treatment Sarah could get on top of her battle so this news is awful. I also have to say Sarah seems to have handled everything very well and she took her time letting the news out to allow her time to come to terms with it. Whatever time she has, I hope its painless and she gets comfort, so young and had so much to give.
The press once again doing a u turn supporting her after many years of hounding her with negative stories.

I hope her doctors just blast those tumours with everything they have to fight them though, if Sarah wants them to do that of course.

I will be so glad when scientists eventually find a cure for cancer.
