Utterly disgusting is some of this hatred towards Jessie, fair enough you may not like her music but to insult her based on her looks is vile.

 

I, for one think she makes brilliant music and has one of the best voices in the industry. I watched her Rock In Rio concert yesterday and she was phenomenal, a true performer and I didn't see ONE negative comment underneath the video, rightfully so. She may not make music to your taste however everyone who sent Bang Bang to number one on iTunes around the world clearly disagree which shows she isn't a pointless popstar at all.

 

She has such passion and dedication for what she does and refuses to drink and smoke as she doesn't want to damage her voice which shows how much she cares for what she does, disliking her material is one thing, disrespecting her is out of line.

 

I think Jessie is GORGEOUS and that album cover is bit cheapish but it does the job, she looks great! :wub:

To be fair, T Boy never said anything about her looks.

 

It wasn't about her being ugly. She isn't, just for the record.

I still think that even though there is an album track named 'Sweet Talker', the title does not go with the album cover at all?? Very mis-matched. I really liked her first era but the second one was dire, and I'm not a fan of 'Bang Bang' so hopefully she has some decent other songs this time round, I'm particularly interested in the track with De La Soul.

Also Track 15 would be another awful album title.

None of the titles particularly fir the picture, but I guess they could easily call it something else, perhaps use a lyric. Or have a better cover, but it's not that bad!

So two Madonna covers on this album then? :kink: #reductive

 

She should do what Alanis Morissette does, lay all the titles and lyrics out and see what fits best.

It's not a brilliant cover, but it sure ain't terrible/worst cover ever or whatever. It's just average? I agree with Cremey that the title/artist fonts are so mismatched and out of sync.

 

Also, I do see where Davidson is coming from (btw, I think you made your point brilliantly), it does feel like it's the same people banging on about how "she shouldn't have a career" or "this woman is still here, why is she still trying!?" you've heard 'Bang Bang', fair enough, you've given your opinion but I don't get why anyone would constantly take digs at her and her work, when she clearly doesn't appeal to them (from past situations, she has never appealed to them either/likely never will)? It's utterly bizarre and boring to read the same people moaning about the same thing, ALL the time.

 

But yeah. A very meh cover. Still loving 'Bang Bang' and I'm quite confident that this is going to be at least better than 'Alive'.

I don't see why people are getting up in arms about negative opinions. Most threads on this forum have a poster disparaging one artist or another. If I don't like an artist/song/cover I will state so. It's hardly wasting any of my time to write a reply that takes less than a minute so the holier than thou attitude of 'omg yoo have no lyff cos you hate on people' doesn't really apply.

 

As for why I, and others, always come back to these threads is because we find comments from other users amusing.

 

Perhaps people should spend less time worrying about us and more time worrying about Jessie J.
