June 24, 201412 yr Oh it does look indeed like 'Sing' has not had all its instant grat sales included. Hooray for the OCC having a little bit of sense then. As much as I still adore 'Sing' and would love to see it back at #1, it'd be rather farcical if it was (without somehow having an enormous lead). Although their inconsistency in actually applying their rules is quite annoying. At least 2 of those instant grats would stay top 40 all week without selling a single extra copy now, I imagine at least 3/4 will remain there on Sunday considering that they will continue to sell for the rest of the week from 'genuine' purchases albeit at a much lower level. A very Sheerany chart it will be although not nearly to the extent it is at the moment. Great to see Oliver Heldens at #1, I don't think it's quite an insurmountable (that word again~) lead but considering 'Gecko (Overdrive)' is still ahead on iTunes it'll more likely than not hold on. Later mids will give a better picture as always.

Should be on track for 150k+ nevertheless. lower case 'x' I think Ed will probably hold up around the same as Coldplay first week, so I would estimate 140k to just over 150k.

June 24, 201412 yr Well a 10k lead on Tuesday isn't HUGE, if Ella can build up a good enough lead then she'll easily take it back. I do like Gecko and it'd be a great #1 but I can't see it having much longevity at all, will just do a Tsunami/I Wanna Feel IMO. Plus Ghost is a better track, so three weeks for it would be amazing :wub:

June 25, 201412 yr Ella's Team pushed a lot for the #1 last week (I guess 2 weeks being viewed as really establishing her), I've seen nothing at all this week - perhaps strange as it's not out of reach. Unless her label now think 3 weeks+ and airplay overkill of single 1 is counterproductive for her longer term? V. Strange commercial environment we are in at the moment...nothing would surprise me...

June 25, 201412 yr Looks like the instant grat sales have been taken off the Ed Sheeran tracks - 'Photograph' was looking pretty safe to stay top 40 all week without selling any more than it did by the Tuesday mids, so for it to be down to #34 already doesn't look right. I hope this means they are actually going to start applying their rules then but it wouldn't surprise me if this is just an exception they're making because the chart would look ridiculous if they didn't. 'Thinking Out Loud' still top 20 without the instant grat sales though apparently! That and 'Don't' are holding up well on iTunes (I know 'Don't' is already receiving airplay and I think it is the 2nd single possibly? But not sure how 'Thinking Out Loud' is holding up so well) so they should both remain top 40 anyway.
