July 9, 201412 yr I believe 'Norgaard' by The Vaccines was playlisted, and that has a running time of 1:38 Beat me to it.
July 9, 201412 yr I'm really annoyed at them not A-Listing Cheryl. I wasn't too bothered about number 1 but now I just hope she makes it to tell them off. Idiots!
July 10, 201412 yr It's quite a disgrace that Nicole Scherzinger didn't get playlisted. I've been hearing that song bloody everywhere the past two weeks. Obviously not radio 1.
July 10, 201412 yr Jessie Ware playlisted :D! Glad they're supporting her/this track. Song of the year contender right there.
July 10, 201412 yr Jessie Ware playlisted :D! Glad they're supporting her/this track. Song of the year contender right there. Yeah, it's a great song. Last year I used to joke that Ariana Grande has a curse like Jessie Ware that would mean she'd never get a top 40, but she suddenly managed a #1, so that gives me hope for Jessie.

Not really Radio 1 supports much better more diverse female artists like Keisza, Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre, Rita Ora, Rihanna, Ella Henderson. If they supported Nicole as well there would be no room to support other genres and bands like Twin Atlantic/Lower than Atlantis/George Ezra/Jake Bugg/Alt-J. nicole is a massive world wide brand and capital plays her Im sure she doesnt need the support! Well yes, but the same could be said of Ed Sheeran and he's been playlisted for 14 weeks.
July 10, 201412 yr I believe 'Norgaard' by The Vaccines was playlisted, and that has a running time of 1:38 "United States of Whatever" by Liam Lynch has a running time of 1:26 and that was playlisted by R1 in late 2002. Liam wins! :D
July 10, 201412 yr If only they playlisted Hans Zimmer's 'Spider Pig' and/or Jonny Trunk and Wisbey's 'The Ladies' Bras'.
July 10, 201412 yr Well yes, but the same could be said of Ed Sheeran and he's been playlisted for 14 weeks. You are talking about one song by an artist/genre they have decided to heavily support - i was analysing the alternative female acts they support instead - Ed is one of the biggest most hyped returns of 2014 and has proven his popularity with a massive first week single and the biggest first week album sales of the year at 182k in this era of low selling albums. Although I agree they should move on from Sing to Dont asap as its been played to death.
