Nicole and her promotional team have done brilliant in getting Nicole on any show possible. I'm assuming she will have This Morning this week or something to promote ' Your Love' even more. It's sad to think that Nicole would have been #01 on iTunes had it not been for Rixton. If 'Your Love' manages to get top 3 though

It's not like Rixton are a huge selling #1 and/or came out of nowhere; I expect Nicole would have charted lower in most weeks :P

It's interesting that 2014 so far has only 1 #2 hit that sold enough to make #1 in a fair few other weeks (Feelin' Myself - though he deserves all the blame for pushing it back into more difficult competition)

YAP... Your Love will do 50K TOP this week or so... Lame week... but YL is better than MAMBH so it's a shame.

I think 'Feelin' Myself' would have missed #1 anyway even if it stuck to its original date. (Interestingly though after getting the year's highest first week sales for a #2, he's likely going to now also have the year's lowest first week sales for a #1 :P)

2014 hasn't really had many #2s of any kind, 23/28 weeks of the year have had a former #1 hit at #2. The only #2s of the year are 'Feelin' Myself', 'Stay The Night', 'All Of Me', 'Last Night' and 'Don't Stop'. 'All Of Me' is obviously the highest overall seller of those lot but had the lowest sales for a week at #2 in the year so far, having never really sold a huge amount in any one week but picked up a big total from consistent selling over several months.

'Feelin' Myself' sold enough to have been #1 in 10/28 weeks (assuming 'It's My Birthday' has sold <97k which is more or less a given) and 'Don't Stop' would have beaten Clean Bandit's 4th week, Mr Probz' 2nd week and Oliver Heldens. The rest were below all #1 sales of the year. (The Vamps' 'Wild Heart' incidentally still has the 2nd highest peak sales of the year for a track to not hit #1 even though it peaked at #3. That would have beaten the 3 mentioned for 5SOS as well as DVBBS, Secondcity and Ella Henderson's 2nd week :magic:)

Now that Nicole has managed such a great climb on iTunes, Capital have started, as expected, to hammer the song. I know it was on the playlist already, but they weren't playing it much. So this should stop it from free-falling too much.

49 MAGIC! Rude Download

50 Cheryl Cole Crazy Stupid Love (feat. Tinie Tempah)

Cheryl has jumped up this morning. Life imitating art has clearly and unsurprisingly helped her. GET THAT NUMBER 1 CHERYL

Get that marriage boost Cheryl! She must have seen that she was lagging behind MAGIC! on pre-orders and moved her wedding forward to grab that extra promo.

This is gonna be such an intense battle!

Hate it or love it but Cheryl always delivers exciting chart battle

I fear she could be the first #1 seller missing the top spot because of streaming :(

That would be so annoying Jess Glyn's 4 to 6 streaming peak is really depressing.

The desperation of it all. :drama:

I fully believe that Neon Jungle will miss the top 10 next week - they're not top 300 on iTunes and I can see Charli,Magic,Cheryl easily managing to go top 10. What a weird chart run they will have!

I can't believe she got married just to give her song's pre-order a boost. Most people would just book a slot on This Morning or something :drama:.

Also, getting married is blatantly copying the theme of 'Rude' <_< - what a sly move...

My God. Go outside.

Ella's doing a bit better than I expected, although weeks ago I was expecting this to go top 3 I was thinking it'd be more like #14 or so going by the pre-orders.

I'm so so so delighted for Nicole, she's at #2 and built up a really decent lead now. :cheer:

No keep posting these in-depth statistical breakdowns! It's what I love most about this site :D

I think they're implying he's the size of 5 people. :o How rude.

Shame this isn't higher she deserved at least one proper hit from the new album. Whilst Our Time and Air Baloon weren't the best, I really love URL Badman (and Hard Out Here).
