July 20, 201411 yr There were 14 #1s in the top 40 a few weeks ago (the week 'Three Lions' re-entered the top 40 alongside 13 of 2014's #1s). EDIT: 15 even, forgot to count the present #1 of that week. Thanks, will go back and check my programme! Yep, I had left one line of code that restricted my search to 2012 charts in for some reason. Can't even remember adding that clause to the programme. So please disregard my previous post - new version imminent Edited July 20, 201411 yr by fchd

July 20, 201411 yr I'd say in this case it's clearly because of the enduring popularity of the film and has nothing to do with how much or little radio are playing it. If they were playing it it would have just as long a chart run except probably with a top 10 peak. I actually agree with vc here. The film may still be popular but a lot of people watching it now would have heard it enough on the radio, etc. Higher peak, shorter run!
July 20, 201411 yr Right Here has grown on me so much, although I think I oddly prefer the verses to the chorus.
July 20, 201411 yr I was hoping this could at least be a non-mover this week if not maybe climbing - ah well, at least it hasn't dropped off heavily.
July 20, 201411 yr So, if "Chandelier" had sold a few more, we'd have had 8 consecutive entries each going down just one place.

July 20, 201411 yr 06 00 01 Nicole Scherzinger Your Love - http://a3.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music4/v4/03/ba/2a/03ba2a42-4b82-1184-d781-0faceb971612/dj.pbgxfwbu.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 6 Release date: 13-07-2014 Format: digital single Label: Sony Music Video here: 9FOWI6Zftpg Biography Nicole Scherzinger (/niˈkoʊl ˈʃɜrzɪŋər/ ni-KOHL SHUR-zing-ər, born Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente; June 29, 1978) is an American recording artist, actress and television personality. Following her departure from Eden's Crush, she auditioned for the burlesque inspired recording group, The Pussycat Dolls and she subsequently signed a contract with Interscope Records. The group's debut album, PCD (2005) and its follow-up Doll Domination (2008) both experienced commercial success. It was a breakthrough in her career that brought her to widespread prominence. Many of the group's songs became worldwide hits including "Don't Cha", "Stickwitu", "Buttons", When I Grow Up", "I Hate This Part" and "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)". However, despite their commercial success, the group was plagued by internal conflict which led to the downfall and disbandment of the group. Scherzinger's long-delayed debut solo album, Killer Love (2011), incorporated elements of eurodance and club pop music. Although not major hits on the American charts, its singles "Don't Hold Your Breath" and "Right There" became top-ten hits in several countries worldwide. Scherzinger left Interscope Records in late 2013 and signed a multi-million dollar contract with Sony Music Entertainment and RCA Records. From 2012 to 2013, Scherzinger served as a judge on the UK version of The X Factor and won with James Arthur in her first year. Throughout a career spanning 13 years, she has sold 16 million records as a solo artist, and a further 50 million with Pussycat Dolls making the latter one of the best-selling girl groups of all time. Outside of her work in the entertainment industry, Scherzinger is involved in charitable activities through human rights, world issues, and her work as an ambassador for the Special Olympics. - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): 2006 04 Come To Me (P. July 20, 201411 yr I really dislike 'Your Love' which is a shame as I loved some of her previous stuff. It just does nothing for me, "Your love makes me feel like do do do do do do" is hardly a chorus.
