Kylllliiiiiieeeeeee <3 LAFS is the best Fever single.

That line in Love Don't Cost A Thing is questionable indeed, but it has nothing on this one from Emotions on her new album "I feel good cause I don't feel bad"

Well there's still one more to come from that era, and let's say she did rather well with it. ;) LAFS is absolutely amazing though <3

150. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (2010)

This was the second single from the enormous 'Teenage Dream' era that scored Katy multiple consecutive U.S. number ones. I remember not thinking that much of this song at the time, but then weirdly it appeared in a dream one night and I've loved it ever since, very strange. Also, the Glee version by the wonderful Darren Criss helped me to appreciate the original more. I think it's rather good lyrically in the verses and is just a very catchy pop song really. My favourite part is probably the "You can put your hands on me, in my skintight jeans, be your teenage dream tonight" bits in the song, it just sounds so lovely along with the production in the background. It's hard to pinpoint exactly why I like this so much, I just really do!

149. Britney Spears - Gimme More (2007)

WHAT a way to come back after her very publicised meltdown! Firstly, that production ensures that it is one of the most well-produced songs of her career! Just SO good, it completely catapults the track into another level. Britney is sounding great on vocals, even rather hypnotic. Very sensual but WHAT a jam. Danja's spoken parts sound pretty good, too.

148. Wet Wet Wet - Love Is All Around (1994)

From the sensual Britney to the soppy Wet Wet Wet  Okay I admit that I actually really quite like this, soppiness aside. Although I've never actually listened to the Troggs' original, I really like this version that we all know and (hopefully) love. I think the lyrics are actually quite beautiful and it's vocally quite something, also. I'm very fortunate that I wasn't alive in 1994 otherwise I'm sure I probably couldn't stand it if the multiple weeks at number 1 have any indication of the overexposure.

147. P!nk - Just Like a Pill (2002)

Michael ain't gonna be happy about this one  Call me a "radical Pink troll" if you must. ANYWAY, I remember going to my friends house for a sleepover and discovering this song through singstar! I absolutely loved it and remember the next day after school I raced home and repeated the song over and over again on my parents' M!ssundaztood album  But yeah it's stood the test of time as it's still my favourite P!nk song. I really love the lyrics and P!nk utters them with such conviction. Very memorable chorus indeed.

146. Evanescence - Bring Me to Life (2003)

Evanescence are probably the only metal band that I've heard and actually really enjoyed, the genre is just really not my thing. Anyway, Amy Lee's vocals are absolutely haunting in this (although I think 'My Immortal' is probably the most haunting her vocals can ever get) which makes me listen to absolutely every word. Something really different that was a number 1 where the genre was concerned, but with a chorus for the genre that is very much accessible. Brilliant stuff.

145. Chase & Status ft. Louis M^ttrs - Lost & Not Found (2013)

Another very new but sublime addition nevertheless! 'Lost & Not Found' was a track that last year I was instantly hooked on, and still now I frequently go back to it. Vocally, Louis M^ttrs seriously delivers as he sings the very real and raw words. Such brilliant production as well that give the words a whole new dynamic. An absolutely brilliant comeback.

144. Melanie C ft. Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes - Never Be The Same Again (2000)

Melanie C struck absolute gold with this track. The Spice girl with arguably the best voice teams up with the amazing rapper, the late Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes from TLC to bring an absolute pop classic. The track is so relaxing courtesy of the very chilled production. The lyrics are ever-so relatable with the whole taking a friendship to the next level thing which makes this very accessible. Really brilliant chorus and guest rap.

143. Disclosure ft. Eliza Doolittle - You & Me (2013)

Again, another 2013 track that has made it out of the handful in the entire countdown, so only the cream of the crop from the past year in my opinion. Eliza Doolittle is one of the most unexpected collaborations for a dance song, so it was particularly surprising firstly to hear of the fact, and then to listen and find out that it actually WORKS. Sublime production courtesy of Disclosure as always and Eliza really brings it vocally. Wonderful lyrics.

142. Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate (1999)

From a very recent dance track to one 14 years prior! For absolutely ages I didn't get this at all but then one day it suddenly clicked. This is an absolute delight to the ears. Very simplistic lyrics but they're sang so sweetly that you can't help but enjoy it. The production that accompanies them also helps to lift the track into something really uplifting. Loving the animated video, too.

141. Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know? (2013)

Another very recent one but this of course had to make it as I absolutely love it! Lyrically it is so so real and we've all been there, not being able to get someone out of their head, wanting to know how they feel but being scared of being turned down, wondering if you've turned this person into something they have to live up to in your mind, and being scared that this is not who they actually are etc. SO true, all of it. Vocally this is so on point as well. Very moody vibes but no wonder with the infatuation subject matter! Just brilliant.

146. Evanescence - Bring Me to Life (2003) - Completely agree on this one. It's gothic theme is what attracted me to it. Great band and man, Amy Lee tho!

Thanks for the comments! Lots of very true things here. C&S are just SO good, I can already think of another track of theirs that is still to come. ^_^

150. Katy Perry - Teenage Dream (2010)

149. Britney Spears - Gimme More (2007) (Played in BB earlier how odd haha) :o

148. Wet Wet Wet - Love Is All Around (1994) Ooh this is brilliant. What a record number of week at #1. You don't have songs spend quite that long thesedays do you ;)

147. P!nk - Just Like a Pill (2002) STUNNING! Who Knew and this are her best singles IMHO! Her whole discography in fact is just phenomenal. One of my personal fave artists

146. Evanescence - Bring Me to Life (2003) Nothing comes remotely close to this anthem

144. Melanie C ft. Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes - Never Be The Same Again (2000) Mel C is quite possibly the best Spice Girl for me. This & Northern Star are just excellent.

142. Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate (1999) Oh those were the childhood days, this is a guilty pleasure for me

141. Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know? (2013) I've only come to appreciate this in the last 6 months. I'm not a mega fan of AM but this is now my favourite of theirs since Fluorescent Adolescent

140. Gorillaz - On Melancholy Hill (2010)

The first of quite a bit of Gorillaz to come a.k.a the best (and only) virtual band I (know) love! 'On Melancholy Hill' is more of a slow-paced one from them, but unlike the word in the title, I don't really feel melancholic when listening to it. It's very beautiful, I'd normally associate Damon Albarn's vocals with being very interesting opposed to beautiful, but here they really are! Gorgeous, complimentary production as well.Although seemingly about addictions with an under layer of melancholia in life, I just enjoy it as a pleasure to the ears, a wonderful, more pop moment from the sublime Gorillaz.

139. Duffy - Mercy (2008)

The song that instantly brought Duffy to attention and the best thing she ever did, for me. 'Mercy' is very old-school, and has a lot of retro glamour about it. The chorus itself is so accessible with it's simplicity, but SO catchy, especially the 'yeah yeah yeah' hooks throughout the song. Her vocals are very interesting as well. Overall this reminds me a bit of a more modern Dusty Springfield song. The brief 'rap' is a bit indecipherable though!

138. Snow Patrol - You're All That I Have (2006)

Whilst most people mainly remember 'Chasing Cars' or 'Run' from them, 'You're All That I Have' is the track from Snow Patrol that I am most fond of. I guess there could be different interpretations like feeling an attraction to someone or a serious relationship where the other half broke it off. Who knows. I just know that the entire melodic effort really touches me, it's just stunning.

137. Avril Lavigne - My Happy Ending (2004)

I have a lot of love for Avril's first two, even three albums as they were worn out during my childhood. Her first album was the first artist album that I ever bought. 'My Happy Ending' was my go-to song on singstar once tapping into an angsty mind-set! There's so many Avril songs I adore but this is definitely my favourite. I really like everything about it, how it progresses as she sings a bit higher towards the end of the song, before that angst-fuelled, guitar-driven final chorus., the instrumentation itself, her vocals and the lyrics! The repetition in the first two sentences in the chorus really works, instead of sounding lazy it just emphasises the point really well, the rest is really accessible and one of those songs that are really fun to sing along to.

136. Gwen Stefani - What You Waiting For? (2004)

The winner of the very recent Now 60 rate lands right here! Gwen is as loud and vibrant as ever with this offering. It sounds so huge, the subject matter is relatively easy to figure out, especially when the title is repeated so many times to grab our attention! I actually really like the middle 8 as well. Just a really fun pop song where it's repetitiveness does not hinder it at all.

135. John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John - You're The One That I Want (1978)

Ultimate guilty pleasure classic alert! My favourite song from my favourite musical of all-time, the ultimate classic that is Grease. While the plots of the film are paper thin, it's the songs and the chemistry of the two leads that really bring it to life for me. 'You're The One That I Want' is my highlight from a VERY strong soundtrack. Firstly, THE catsuit, THE reaction to it from Danny, THE amount of fun they look like they're having! Such a wonderful scene that's still remembered ever so well all these years later. Oh and the song itself is pretty great too. Even though the chorus is a back-and-forth exchange repeated over and over again, it's charm just works, and the catchy ooh-ooh-ooh hunny part just adds to that charm. Such a feel-good timeless classic!

134. Just Jack - Starz In Their Eyes (2007)

All about those fame-hungry people that was blowing up thanks to those 15 minutes of fame that talent shows provided in the 00's. While vocally it's not technically brilliant and all that, I just love how quirky they are. A bit like the last track, the chorus is simply the same thing said over again, but it's a line that can strike enough of a chord on it's own so ultimately just works. The production is so cool as well!

133. M.I.A - XXXO (Jay-Z Remix) (2010)

I remember hearing this on radio one and thinking that it was really annoying, haha! However, of course it soon grew on me and I ended up absolutely loving it! I didn't know much of M.I.A besides 'Paper Planes' but there was something that I really loved about her vocals. Like the last song, the chorus relies on one repetitive line "You want me being somebody that I'm really not" that once again will strike enough of a chord to make enough of an impact on it's own. Amazing production as well and decent featuring rap from Jay-Z.

132. Shakira - Whenever Wherever (2002)

Firstly, PANPIPES ARE EVERYTHING. Maybe that explains why I love Emmeli De Forest's 'Only Teardrops' as well. SUCH a beautiful instrument. Anyway, that brilliant instrumental moment in the song aside, this is such a pop gem! Shakira debuted with such a playful track. It just has so many MOMENTS. The panpipes, the 'ne no na ne na ne' bit we all associate with her rather unusual vocals, and THAT mountains lyric. Genius!

131. The Killers - When You Were Young (2006)

I always forget just how much I love The Killers, SUCH a strong discography! This is quite painful to listen to but so mesmerising at the same time. Painful due to the very heartfelt delivery on the very brief chorus with the melancholic instrumentation at the same time. Maybe also because the very first line is "You sit there in your heartache". The "He doesn't look a thing like Jesus, but he talks like a gentleman" line kinda makes me think that because Jesus is viewed as such a positive character personality-wise (but not known for his looks), this line is a metaphor for how this guy in question isn't like how Jesus is, so not much heart and all that, but when he "talks like a gentleman" this is how he is smooth-talking and convinces the girl in question to keep him etc. Maybe I'm overanalysing, but I just love how interesting the story in the song seems to be, the vocals and the very emotional instrumentation.
