106. Pixie Lott - Lay Me Down

Oh dear, out of the top 100 already  I really couldn't have imagined this doing worse than 'Sirens' prior to release (was Cher even 59p?) but this is absolutely atrocious. To think 'Nasty' could manage top 10 when this is happening right now.

684. Paloma Faith - Trouble with My Baby

This is similarly atrocious, but not so funny :( I know this was never going to be another 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' for her but if '30 Minute Love Affair' and 'Just Be' could go top 100, this really should be nowhere near this low. It's a fantastic song, I hope it can nab a top 200 peak eventually.

'30 Minute Love Affair' and 'Just Be' are far FAR superior though

It is still being cherrypicked, its been constantly climbing and is now up to 69

It was also only A listed on radio 1 last week so it has time to be top 40 at least!

I assume that's down to the 59p reduction

I much prefer 'Trouble With My Baby' :( It's crazy how differently it's fairing compared to OLCHLT.

It's probably because OLCHLT is still top 40 and still charting. Had she waited a bit the focus would've been on TWMB.

she'll be coming for that number 1 with Sigma anyway soon :D

On the bright side, if it doesn't chart at all (which it won't, in the top 75 at least) she can pass it off as an 'album buzz single'
Is Professor Green's new single up for pre-order yet? Got its first play on Monday and it sounds like an easy Top 10, if not Top 3.
There was another Pixie Lott single a few years back (called Can't Make This Over iirc) which didn't chart and her career recovered from that.

That was a post album single. She needs to pull something massive out of the bag for her next single or she's over!

I think that ship may have already sailed.

True, it's not such a big deal if it's a post-album single, but its success was still a lot less than what Pixie usually gets. Kiss the Stars was a post-album single and that got top 10, to everybody's delight.

And it turned out that Can't Make This Over was 'cancelled' as a single when it failed to chart anyways :kink: Some form of excuse will come for this too no doubt.

The Jessie J/Ariana Grande/Nicki Minaj song is top 30 on pre-orders and it's not out here until late Sept, already out in the US, they should really release it now before the hype and excitement over it dies down

Like 'Problem'

I wonder when record labels here will start to realise it doesnt do anything for an artist to hold a song back so long?

All it does is guarantees a higher chart placing. It must surely affect overall sales though.
