It really is amazing how Vandaag is holding up with seemingly no major radio airplay.

Radio 1 have played it 4 times in the last month and Capital have played it once. Heart have also played it once. Capital Xtra see the light though and have played it 130 times. G'won Capital Xtra tell them other radio stations who really owns the chart

Compare my radio also registers plays from Big Top 40 show, which is why both Heart and Capital have played it once.

No it isn't, it's very high though! :o

Ooh. I hope it can finally reach top 10. :)

EDIT: 109. Katy Perry - This Is How We Do

Keep climbing please

Hahaha. It was on BBC1's new drama 'In the Club' tonight which is why it's so high I'm guessing!

10 & 113. Ariana Grande (Feat. Zedd)- Break Free

Edited by danielw2k1

Ah so it's been released early? Makes sense because it was never gonna win a battle with Duke Dumont & Lilly Wood. Still don't see it being #1 though.
What a stupid move from Ariana this is. A mid-week release for Break Free, and it won't even be chart eligible for a few weeks because it's an instant grat alongside Problem :drama:

While I don't think we've seen any examples of the chart eligible instant grat not being the first one (apart from Eminem but all 4 were released at once), the rules state they're allowed to nominate a specific one, right? So they could sacrifice 3 weeks of Problem charting to have Break Free. If they cared that is; considering this random midweek timing and that they deleted the Problem single, it's probably safe to assume they don't (despite caring enough to hold back Problem??). Oh well, I like the song but I wasn't fond of the idea of Zedd getting another big hit anyway ~

Edit: Looks like Break Free still isn't on UK Spotify, it's doing really well in the US & Australia so it certainly would help it out when it's allowed to chart if they made it available now.

As in chart eligible I meant. One was allowed, so I don't see why Break Free won't be?
because Problem has already been an instant grat for a few weeks
I thought Problem was just the lead single before the album? This topic always confuses me haha. Take 5SOS as an example, released SLSP, then the chart-eligible grat was Good Girls, both charted simulatenously right? What's the difference here?
20. Slipknot - The Negative One - Top 40 on Sunday just to hear Jameelas reaction to playing metal music :kink:

Problem was initially released as a 1-track single, but they deleted that and made it available to buy off the album pre-order (which makes it an instant grat) a few weeks ago. SLSP was never made available off the album pre-order, just the single, so Good Girls was the first instant grat, making it chart eligible by default. Ed Sheeran was similar to the latter in that One was the first instant grat, though Sing was changed to an instant grat like a day before album release, if I recall correctly.
