I hope they change Uptown Funk a bit for Fleur's 2nd performance of it

Can't Hold Us is going to be either massive like Uptown Funk or a bit of a letdown. Demons is good for Ben, it's pretty much what he should have sang all along. Still like 80% sure he'll win :( it's gonna come down to the duets though I think.

I think 'Can't Hold Us' will be a strong performance, but that's all. It won't be anywhere near 'Uptown Funk' (I doubt the second performance of that song will be tbh), but hopefully it'll be just as good as 'Lady Marmalade'.

 

'Demons' is a bit of a strange one. It should work, in the sense that it's a rock song, but I dunno if Ben's voice is too gruff/aggressive for a track like that. But we shall see. Should be better than TOL at least :lol:

Mel is sick and apparently it is highly unlikely (80 % according to James Ingham) that she will attend the final. Apparently that are looking for stand ins!....Tulisa anyone?!?!?!

Would be pretty cool if it was Leona, to show her relationship with Simon is still solid. :) Andrea's song choices are all rather predictable and not particularly looking forward to them. I think Ben's got the best set of songs. "Demons" should really suit him and so should "Something I Need". Glad Fleur is performing "Uptown Funk" again. Not sure what she'll be like on "Something I Need", was hoping for a more upbeat single for her. "Can't Hold Us" should be good too.

Poor Mel, I was looking forward to having one last weekend of her on TV ripping into Simon :(

 

As for finding another judge, I don't think they should; I think a setup of Cheryl, Simon and Louis would work well for the final!

Can people please stop this wanting/thinking Tulisa will be back for anything other than 2 mins on X factor thanks to blowing Simon.

 

She isn't going to pull in ratings or do anything for the show, at this point she is a step away from being Simon's new Sinitta.

There's not really any need for a guest judge imo, I agree the three is fine. It's slightly inconvenient seeing as Mel's act is in the final but they'll manage.

 

They'll probably just rope in one of the guests? Maybe Demi, she was a judge on US X-Factor. Wishful thinking :lol: Imagine if it was Sam Smith... :manson:

Looks like Mel will be replaced by Tulisa. What is this shows obsession with Tulisa, the general public cant stand her and her face.

 

Surely Simon has some connections to get someone better than Tulisa to replace Mel.

I think that's unfair, I think there's more public support for Tulisa than some people make out. I'd love to see her on the panel this weekend, definitely one of my favourite judges the show has had.

Poor Mel B. :( I hope she's better soon. I wish she'd miraculously be better in time for tomorrow, but her health comes first.

 

Tulisa is the obvious/easiest choice I suppose, given her past experience. I kind of wish they'd just leave it as Louis/Cheryl/Simon though... when you think about it there's no particular reason for a replacement judge in the final weekend, given that they're doing nothing other than remarking on the performances. Cheryl could have stood in for Mel effectively and been Andrea's honorary mentor.

Well hopefully nothing too serious for Mel B. I have to be honest though and say I won't miss her on the judging panel . Tulisa would be even worse though! This is interesting and obviously we don't know how true it is. Ben getting half of the votes last weekend and Fleur only 22%? The Daily Star have leaked last weeks votes, which supposedly has Ben with 50% of the votes and Fleur only beat Andrea by 6% and Lauren was last.

 

I know a lot of people will not like or want to believe this but the Daily Star have leaked a lot of true info over the last few years, such as Chris topping the votes each week etc.

 

If this is true I'd say it has been leaked to spur Fleur fans on to at least make sure she comes 2nd and beats Andrea.

I've read that too, and to be honest I'm gutted. The Daily Star have always been reliable with their voting leaks like you say (for example Christopher Maloney topping several weeks, Nicholas topping the 2 weeks that he did last year with Sam winning the rest and Diana, JLS and Eoghan topping the votes in the early stages of Series 5) so knowing Ben has such a massive lead, it is unassailable as there is no chance of such a big vote turnaround - especially as it's difficult to imagine Fleur could do anymore than she did last week.

 

It's very nearly ruined all the excitement for me, the only hope is that it isn't true (with 50% being too round a number to be true) but I'm 99% sure it is and the bookies agree too.

I'm not surprised if the voting leak is true. They were very careful to never let Fleur perform early in the running order until the SF, where they had the unreleased track up their sleeve and the safety of having a bottom 2 so they could get Fleur to the final no matter what.

 

I'd say Andrea topped the vote week 1, Lauren week 2 and then from there on Ben has probably romped away with it.

 

I'd also think Ben would pick up the votes from peoples faves leaving, like I'd be sure any Jake, Jack, Paul, Jay, Lola fans vote transfer would have been mostly to nice looking, nice guy Ben.

Why not cover Mel's place with Sharon? Of all people they've had on the show over the years they go with Tulisa....
