Not gonna get my hopes up for a Taylor #1, streaming (it's not even on Spotify, eek) and a gap of two days won't help, but top 3/5 will be amazing! Plus this shows OA/OS is a viable option, at least for the big popstars. Then again, it seems to work for Avicii among others, and of course Daft Punk randomly.

I assume you're just happy about this because it's OA/OS. Because that's the only context in which Nickelback doing well is 'good news'.

:lol: I was just seeing how many members would fall for my wind up - im no fan or hater of Nickelback and i dont care how they released the song i just noticed it doing well so thought id give it a mention ;)

This was TOTD yesterday on radio 1 which is why its so high, starting to stall again now but will hopefully get playlisted tomorrow i think :)

Any established artist can def release whenever they want esp if airplay picks up soon enough after (take note Ed Sheeran, although its hard to argue with his record labels release campaign which was one of the best of 2014 even if Sing washeld back a ridiculously long time) but the new ones building a fan base might be wiser to wait a bit, although if the songs good enough they can buck the trend too for instance the 1975 and Chocolate rose up the chart due to radio 1 A listing last March because of the strength of the song just being one example!

Have any of Avicii's hits been OA/OS, except maybe Silhouettes?

Really confused as to why Radio 1 didn't support this. They LOVE Haim, and have shown some support for the ASAP crew as well. I think this new version was a good trick for Haim to have gotten another top 40 from their album, but clearly not...

Its a quality version of the track - i didnt buy the Haim album but got this last night - heard this on Zane Lowe but it wasnt playlisted unfort!

 

Taylor Swift is 67% of David Guetta now btw!

Its a strange release for Calvin/John Newman to have a pre order but then release it without a build up on the 7/9?
Taylor is still gaining consistently, hopefully she can keep going enough to get that iTunes #1!
