06 SOS

08 Only Girl (In the World)

Top two are amongst my favourites of all time. Everything is brilliant tbf although Only Girl was very 'of the time' wasn't it? Loved it back in 2010 though!

Face it though, what more success does she need? She's already broken her way into that 'untouchable' level of future legend status assured, she won't have hits forever but while she can, why not do things a little different? That's why I'm especially pleased she came back with this, particularly as I would have just forgotten about the song if it was on a level with Rita Ora and doing the same sort of things that other female pop artists are doing. I'm actually really interested in Rihanna again now, and I thought this might have been the era where I left her behind. It's a fantastic artistic statement for me.

-which is quite an achievement for such a new song honestly, to already be putting it above faves like Take A Bow and SOS)

The song's really growing on me and I love the video. Rihanna absolutely oozes star quality and is incredibly captivating onscreen. Great that she's back! :D

I think that's fantastic.

Loving this single.

This so much. She just oozes star quality (as Noah said!).

Still absolutely loving this single. Becoming a FIRM favourite of mine now. Looking forward to the direction of this album.

i'll rank then

01 We Found Love

02 Diamonds

03 Only Girl (In The World)

04 SOS

05 Umbrella

06 Pon De Replay

07 FourFiveSeconds (could climb later but it's not near the greatness of ha top 3)

08 Russian Roulette

09 Take A Bow

01 We Found Love

02 Take a Bow

03 Only Girl

04 SOS

05 Russian Roulette

06 Pon de Replay

07 Umbrella

08 Diamonds

09 FourFiveSeconds

This is growing on me, slowly but surely, but I still consider it to be her worst lead single. I didn't think much of the video, but I was expecting it to be simplistic like that.

That remix is heavenly. I prefer the original but the remix would be so so welcome in a club (and is good to run to) 🏃
#15 on the hot 100 so far with 190k sold so far 🙏

Michael's back :o

Diamonds is pretty bad but I am starting to like it very slowly, four five seconds is very good but I have ink heard it once as I don't think it is on spotify and Pom de replay is also very good. The other 6 are all amazing moments though. We found love is great albeit a bit overrated, SOS and only girl are fantastic tunes and take a bow is beautiful. Umbrella is a classic. Russian roulette is just absolutely stunning and one of the best songs of all time

Slowly but surely this is growing. Unsure how to compare it to her other lead singles now, but then why do I have to do that anyway. It really shows a different side to Rihanna, and that's a good thing.

The video is great.

If you are debating whether to check out the performance of this from the Grammy's, you really should check it out. Rihanna was the best she's EVER sounded.

Plus she looked absolutely flawless!

The Grammys performance has won me over. I really like this now.

It's just so terrible.

I'm embarrassed for everyone involved.

Lol at myself.

It's clicked with me too, finally! I really like it now (which is a definite improvement on hating it on first listen!)... but it's not total love. I'd still place it at the bottom of my "lead singles" rank. No way that it tops the likes of 'Umbrella' for me, I find that crazy! :o
Starting to heavily fall for this as well!
This is still her weakest lead but the Grammy performance made it click with me! I'm STILL just baffled it's the lead though
