I'm no huge fan of Robbie anyway but that aside, this is so NOTHINGY and limp.

Apparently Brandon Flowers was the original singer on this but his management wouldn't allow him to be on the released version. It was written by Brandon and Avicii along with Vincent Pontare and Salem Al Fakir.

 

Brandon would have been amazing on it :(

Didn't realise it was Robbie on the first listen as i heard it from Radio 1. Stupid how they don't credit him on this as he's got to be the biggest artist he's collaborated with, plus if this goes to no.1 Robbie will miss out on an 8th chart topper :/

 

 

I really wasn't sure of this at first - it seemed like such a let down and like it doesn't go anywhere.

I have to admit that it is quite catchy though, the melody has been stuck in my head for the last few days. But I'm still not completely sold on the song structure - it's very similar to that of 'Dear Boy' on his 'True' album (which I really like), but I don't think it works as well here..

Those Dancing Days (the band) WIN, especially as they had a single called "Those Dancing Days". :D

This does seem to wait really unnecessarily long for the breakdown to come, in fact I wouldn't really have guessed Avicii was involved until the last minute or so. It's not awful though, a little bit more subtle than his recent stuff but not necessarily bad.

UK pre-order seems to have been removed :(

I knew this release wasn't going ahead, I'm sure Radio 1 knew it too and that's why they didn't playlist it.

I think it's for the best this has been removed for now, might give Avicii time to either plan a new single or wait until the new year when sales are quieter and then try again

 

This really wasn't a great choice for lead single but hopefully Avicii will pull something epic out of the bag from this era!!

I love this track, it's the BEST track Robbie has put his vocals to since the last Take That album and the best non-Take That-Robbie single since 'Bodies'. One of Avicii's best, shocked it never took off and the release was cancelled.

This is one of the most horrible things I have heard this year. I don't rate Avicii at the best of times and my hate for Robbie can never be underestimated, but this is even worse that I previously envisaged.

Weird that this has been released on Amazon but was pulled from iTunes!
