Diane Parish deserves some awards. Her performance as Denise has been amazing in the last year and today was another brilliant episode from her!

I thought they didn't pay enough attention to Emma's death - I know she wasn't a major character, but she's been the focus of attention all week except her actual death.

The Nick thing is frustrating me. Why Mrs Doyle wouldn't just reveal he did it instantly is beyond me.
The more important question is, with all the drama, why hasn't Mrs Doyle made tea for anyone this week?

She didn't even make any tea

great minds think alike

Nancy asked Tina to put the kettle on - not as good as Mrs Doyle's tea-making I'm sure, but better than nothing.

That is what I have been wishing for. What I wouldn't give for her to have came into the room saying "Here we are now tea for everyone" after everyone was informed of the crash.

I'm really going to miss Emma.

Lauren blames Max for the death of Lucy next week, I think this is a red herring and judging by Lauren's reaction to Emma death I'm sure it's between her Peter and Cindy.

The Nick storyline has built up nicely, I had wondered what he would do and now we know. Emma I could take or leave so I wont miss her from the show, I had initially thought she would get murdered by Lucy's murder and they might go with the serial killer storyline, as that would have been good too, it would also be a great exit for Dextor as I am fairly certain he will never return, he did get a shoddy exit but then most of scenes and storylines reflect that.
Most likely overthinking it but when max walked in following the death of Emma Lauren nodded at him.
I wouldn't read too much into how the actors are acting their parts for clues because they don't know who killed Lucy yet. Only the main producers know, so they've probably instructed all the actors to act guilty in any scene relating to Lucy's death as a red herring for viewers.
I definitely don't believe it will be Lauren. They are already having problems hiding her baby bump at the moment and with the killer not being revealed for over a month it is going to be impossible to hide, I think they are going to be getting rid of Lauren pretty soon with her going away or something.

She will probably go away with Peter then come back after Peter and her 'split'

I've been looking back at some early episodes, and i have to say, Angie is probably the most overrated character in history. Anita Dobson is an atrocious actress.

I suppose, like Peggy, she is very theatrical in her acting. But I think it works for both of them and both characters I like.
All that hype for a character dying and the one that does die gets a total of about 30 seconds' acknowledgement in the episode. Will miss Emma </3
I liked Emma too. :( Such a low key death. Although it was a tad ridiculous that she was taken to hospital straight away. If she had to be killed off, I probably would have preferred it to have happened immediately after being hit by the car.

Me too, because I spent 24 hours (not literally, it's not like Emma being alive didn't leave my mind at all all day but you know what I mean :P) with the thought of "yay she actually lived" and thinking maybe Ronnie would die the next day or maybe the "who will die" thing was just for hype and Ronnie dying for a few minutes was the answer  I'd have preferred someone to have gone over to Emma after she was ran over and said "oh god she's dead". But then I guess the whole Ronnie thing wouldn't have been as emotional or gripping if we knew she wasn't going to die so I guess they had to do it like that. Still, I'd have liked them to give her death a bit more spotlight!

I love how no one actually calls her Yvonne  She's forever Mrs Doyle.

To be quite honest I've found it very difficult to remember her actual name
