"Circus" is a song recorded by American singer Britney Spears for her sixth studio album of the same name (2008). It was released on December 2, 2008, by Jive Records as the second single from the album. Written by Dr. Luke, Claude Kelly and Benny Blanco, "Circus" is a metaphor for the public's perception of Spears' life. After she listened to the track for the first time, she felt inspired to create an album and a tour with a circus theme. "Circus" is an uptempo electropop and dance-pop song with elements of pop rock and "half-rapped" vocals. The song's lyrics talk about being an entertainer and putting on shows.

"Circus" was very well received by contemporary critics, with reviewers complimenting Spears' confident persona, while praising its electronic production. "Circus" was a commercial success, peaking inside the top-ten in Australia, Canada, Denmark, New Zealand, and Sweden, while reaching top-twenty positions in many European countries. In the United States, "Circus" reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on Pop Songs and is her second best-selling digital song in the country, having sold over 3 million copies.[1] The track is among the best-selling singles of all time, having sold 5.5 million copies worldwide.

Sticking with my vote for 'My Prerogative' though I have been leaning towards a surprise vote for HIAM. But, one is an original and the other is a cover, so...

PS- The single cover for 'Circus' is STUNNING, isn't it?

PS PS- YALL be nice to each other PLZ. And just try to vote for your actual least favorite, don't spoil the fun for others.

Break The Ice is her fourth best (thankfully the other three should finish top 5 I imagine) :(

I went for Work Bitch *hides*

(I love them all now in fairness)

Work Bitch.

Either HIAM, TTWE or Work Bitch need to go.

'Piece of Me'. I have a feeling I'm gonna be voting this one for a long time :arrr:

Why the suspicion that it's not a genuine result? Surely people wouldn't vote for it if it genuinely wasn't the one that they wanted gone?

Speaking for myself, I definitely wanted it out, I had been voting for it for a little while! It was my least favourite remaining... I just think she's got numerous singles that are better than it! I'm glad it has gone.

Were I really don't see how it's so suspicious either. I mean, it gained 2 votes in the last 6hours of the poll. I could understand if the number was much larger.
'Circus' was on 7, and then not long before it was due to finish it suddenly went up to 10 out of nowhere. It just feels to me like someone drafted in (perhaps neutral) other people to vote and sway the score and if that is the case it really renders these games pointless. However, if you really believe it was legitimate then I'll accept that as I don't want to keep going on about it and appear "bitter".
'Oops' for me again. It's ok though as I don't mind if it goes further in the competition. Y'all are just making it easier for me to choose one to vote for :magic:
I went back to "Born To Make You Happy" as it mustered some votes in the last round, alas they've abandoned me.
