Were there any bumps from the MOBOs yesterday?? It was a shame the African, Reggae and R&B awards weren't televised and the live performance from Jessie J was!

Yep it's a shame the black, African and reggae Sam Smith isn't getting a bump for his wins ;)

Tbh, they recognised more black British artists than normal like Stylo G, Skepta and Krept & Konan but every year a white artist seems to win loads (e.g.Jessie J, Adele, Ed Sheeran). Whether they are making "black music" is open to debate!

It looks like Tulisa might be returning to #1 in December after 2 years of absence from that position.

Post of the week!

Edited by Sheikh Abdul

 58. Rae Morris - Closer

^ doing well for her! a very nice song, though not up there with 'Cold' for me. she's probably a shoo-in for an appearance for that Sound Of list whenever that turns up~

 188. Alexa Goddard - So There [PRE-ORDER]

^ apparently (going off comparemyradio here sooo~) getting a fair bit of airplay from Capital, which explains how it's that high. Very weak & forgettable song based off one listen though, hope it doesn't end up doing big things :puke:

Alexa Goddard potentially coming for another chart hit 4 years after the iconic 'Turn My Swag On' :o

Her new one isn't half as good as that though :(

 90. One Direction - You & I

Thought this was a new track until I saw which album it was from. Why the jump?

There really are no words r.e. the Tinchy Stryder song, is he trying to get some sort of ironic viral hit, or is he being serious?

It's just a bit of fun for charity that came after he met the Chuckle Brothers on Celebrity Juice. Shame it's seemingly stalled outside the top 100, I actually love it. Though I guess most of its appeal is the video / the concept and it's not really the sort of thing people would download.

In better news the UKIP thing has finally been removed.

That Tinchy song

There's so much milage in the "grime star-90s children TV star" concept though. Imagine Lethal Bizzle and Bodger and Badger :D

Awww :/ would have rathered this was chart eligible come Sunday. Not because I agree with the track or what it stands for, but I like it when controversial stuff charts and it'd potentially push out a song which we've heard for months and month like Waves...

Well it is still chart eligible, the OCC confirmed that if it gets removed the sales up to that point will still count :P They won't play it on the chart show anyway even if it remains top 40.

No I'd assume they'd briefly mention it and the only time it'd get any play would be the 10 position rundown part. But if it's not able to sell anything from this point it'll surely be overtaken by more than enough songs to fall out of the top 40.
