This update must be the one with streaming added - no way Hudson Taylor would have fallen from wed update in the top 30?

Streaming is included in all midweek updates, as you may know from me making this exact post nearly every week.

yes pharrell slay a bit!

52 consecutive weeks top 40 seriously needs to happen though *.*

I genuinely do not understand what people see in Fuse ODG, it seriously baffles me.

He's making fun, infectious music with a positive message in a style that's unique in the charts atm.

I don't think it's that infectious, just annoying.

Still, as you say it's unlike anything else in the current charts, and I'm glad we have room in our Top 40 for records like that.

I think it's highly infectious. Bizarrely (as his music not usually a genre I'd listen to), I love every single he's released so far. People seem to sing his songs all the time, which I find odd because when 'Antenna' came out, I was convinced he'd be a one hit wonder!

An African one hit wonder was D'Banj, does anybody remember Oliver Twist!? I love it, but it comes across as clinical and more manufactured than Fuse.

I've compared Fuse to Sean Paul before, people seem to regard both in the same light.

Yep, amazing song!

Yay coming for an unbroken year in top 40.

"Happy" top 40 unbroken for a year? You never know, but I'd be surprised if it did. Top 50 all year? Maybe.

If it does fall, I would almost expect it to go back into the top 40 by the end of the year, for a week or two.

The iTunes gift cards at the end of the year will give the track a boost, back inside the top 10

Anyhow no mids from MW yet for today, just gonna be late

Ella's album is down to #7, Sam Smith is ahead of her, Sam is also performing on Jools Holland tonight, Status Quo should drop out from the top 5. Don't have any sales yet, we all should know the drill by now, sales content is a separate issue not from MW. Hopefully we have something later this afternoon.

OMFG SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY GAGA!!!!!!!

RISING LIKE A LOTUS
