I'm suspecting that iTunes can now report actual purchases of instant grats, separate from the instant grat downloads. This is what's happening in the US now. WTNY would be a hell of a lot higher had the album pre-orders been included surely.

I wonder if the OCC is using this to selectively allow some artists to chart with their 2nd instant grat. I say selectively, because the same situation has happened with other artitsts who haven't been allowed to chart.

I think it must be helped significantly at the weekend with being hammered on those adverts in the breaks of X-Factor (where they seem to only have that song, Fancy, Ghost and for some reason Dibby Dibby Sound)
