July 28, 201212 yr Really liking 'Lolita'! I remember being in love with 'Everything I'm Not' back in 2006, haha. I wasn't a fan of their second album, but this new one sounds promising.
July 29, 201212 yr This is pretty much the soundtrack to my life at the moment. I'd all but lost interest in these girls, but it's safe to say my obsession has been revitalised.
August 1, 201212 yr This is very much a grower (as well as being instant!). It's fantastic, seriously. I really hope the album is more in a similar vein to this!
August 1, 201212 yr The underlying bassline reminds me so much of Lights by Ellie Goulding, especially when it's slightly distorted in the Bassnectar remix! Really really good stuff anyway, I didn't have amazing excitement for this but I just thought I'd listen and I'm glad I did. If the album is anything like this count me in!
October 23, 201410 yr I couldn't find a topic about the album, but I thought I'd create one as we now have a lot of information about it. It's up for pre-order in Aus and released on November 21st there, there will be news for other territories coming tomorrow. It's a self titled album, and here is the cheaptastic and bland cover: People in Aus who pre-order get a track called 'Line Of Fire' as an instant grat, which can be heard here! There are 14 tracks on the standard edition, there will be a deluxe with more tracks. I can't believe this is happening, after all these years! 'Line Of Fire' is also ACE! :cheer:
October 25, 201410 yr There was a topic so I've merged it. :D Very interested to hear this album as 'You Ruin Me' was an unexpected but wonderful surprise!
October 25, 201410 yr Excited to hear this, the album cover picture isn't too bad but that logo is rather ugly.
November 6, 201410 yr According to iTunes the UK release date of this is 23rd February 2015, presumably the single 'If You Love Someone' will be a week before?
November 14, 201410 yr Webrip of Album: http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/the-veron...-veronicas-web/ Only skimmed through. Sounds solid.
November 17, 201410 yr The album is very 'classic Veronicas' on first listen, especially the fantastic Born Bob Dylan. Good to see they haven't deviated from their sound too much. Love the weird chord progressions in Always too, reminds me of South African duo The Arrows.
November 17, 201410 yr So I gave the album a listen after being so impressed by YRM & IYLS and it's a brilliant album overall. Track 1 started off promising but then I didn't think it went anywhere hence not liking it but I've loved every other track. Currently up to "More Like Me" and it's sounding gorgeous! Mad Love, Born Bob Dylan & Teenage Millionaire are my other highlights so far. The last few at the end kinda got boring though. Good job girls! Edited November 17, 201410 yr by HonkyBonkington
November 22, 201410 yr I just gave this album a listen in full, I'm satisfied with it after one listen! I thought that it didn't have their grit/spunk/angst/whatever but the second half really picked up for me, to be honest I love the whole album after one listen except 'Sanctified' and 'Teenage Millionaire', but I trust they will grow on me (even if 'Sanctified' sounded like a complete mess). 'Cold' is absolutely amazing, and 'Let Me Out' is as perfect as ballads come. Other highlights (bar the two singles) are 'Cruel', 'Born Bob Dylan' and 'Mad Love'.
December 1, 201410 yr The album has debuted at #2 in Australia, matching the peak of the Veronicas' other albums. It also reached gold certification in its first week which is a terrific start!
January 19, 201510 yr They have announced 5 tour dates for the UK in March with tickets going on sale later this week! http://www.popjustice.com/thenews/the-vero...-the-uk/133877/
