Haaaaa.

Where is everybody that said Steal My Girl was flopping and that it didn't stand a chance of climbing higher than #3?

It probably still isn't going to climb higher than #3. And anyway I'm pretty sure no one is surprised at an XF performance boosting it back near the top of iTunes, it was still underperforming a bit (not 'flopping' though) before that.

They / their management seem to have got very good at fleshing out their lead single campaigns to keep them in the chart for a long time. Remains to be seen if 'Steal My Girl' will continue to hold up after the album release / gift card effect or if it'll plummet like 'Story Of My Life' did.

On the subject of 1D their second instant grat is out now so expect 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' to show up at #1 any minute now (currently #10).

Their new single is going to radio on Friday (Night Changes) so imagine Steal My Girl will drop off, as the focus changes to sell the album.

IDINA VERSION???

Plz plz plz

its just a bunch of random people singing it :(

Oh yes, I forgot about that - seems quite stupid when 'Steal My Girl' still has momentum going for it but there you go. Also makes me wonder why they bothered performing 'Steal My Girl' on XF if they're already going to dump it. They'll probably end up getting another performance slot anyway though.

That's a shame :(

Still should boost the song officially and in my chart. Only needs 2 more weeks at 1 to equal my all time record number of weeks at #1 in my chart

I heard that a lot of people think Night Changes isn't very single-worthy.

I think with only having two albums left in their current contract (one of which is confirmed to be a greatest hits), they're being quite left-field, if you will, and releasing unexpected singles that will show off their growth musically rather than singles that will be instant smashes and set the charts on fire.

They don't need singles to sell an album anyway as proven.

No, Alexandra Burke! :P

Really pleased for The Veronicas, in terms of popularity numbers on Kworb they seem quite ahead of the tracks behind them, Taylor Swift is quite a way behind and she won't have streaming for obvious reasons, also Parra For Cuva and the like won't make up that current big gap in streams. I'm hopeful they can get that top 10 officially if they hold up enough for most of the week.

Very late  at 'Will You Be There' being so high. As has been said by many already it's one of his most underrated, and never seems to get the appreciation it deserves. In my top 5 from MJ for sure (the final middle-8/talking section gets to me every single damn time )

No, Alexandra Burke! :P

If only </3

08. Sam Smith - Like I Can [i'm praying that Nicole Scherzinger has a similar result following her x factor performance]

19. Olly Murs - Beautiful To Me

21. Gareth Malone (Official Children In Need Song) - Wake Me Up

38. Taylor Swift - Blank Space

46. Paloma Faith - Ready For The Good Life

75. Union J - One More Time

78. One Direction - Story Of My Life

82. Nico & Vinz - In Your Arms [Pre-Order]

110. Jessie J Feat 2 Chainz - Burnin Up

113. Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You

190. Pixie Lott - Caravan Of Love :(

So chuffed to see Sam Smith in the top 10 atm with 'Like I Can', hopefully that will translate onto the official chart. He's having a beast of a year so far.

I just relalised that I didn't have Will You Be There - I agree that is one of his best (4 chord changes!!). Fleur did a great job too so just downloaded it.

I'm hoping that they get a minor boost after being played on radio 1 on Wed! Coz many of the listeners wont have heard the song too much, so hopefully they'll fall in love with it enough to buy it! They'll have more reason to buy it too as Radio 1 won't be playing it beyond he chart shows!

I know this won't happen but it'll be good if it would :(

big boost for Band Aid because of the obvious confirmation of them doing Band Aid 30 this week :D

Hopefully Shakin Stevens can go top 40 this year.

Radio will eat their new single up. Not the most instant track, I'll give you that, but it's really good. Probably the second slowest song they've released after Little Things.

Indeed it's been shown on the main news on all the channels. BBC1 just showed clips of TOL @ Steal my Girl as well which could help them.

They are also explaining the changed times for the record industry predicting it might not chart as well!

Massive climb for Gareth Malone as expected, up to No.3! The Veronicas clinging on for dear life at #10 now :drama:
