November 16, 201411 yr Not feeling this Kendrick track, he had so much better on his first album. Presuming you mean his second album (unless you were a fan back in the ~early days~ :magic:) 'i' is not his best song by any means but it's not bad either and it's great to see him getting any success really. I've heard it's not particularly representative of the overall sound of the album.
November 16, 201411 yr Really over this now, probably because I started listening to it extensively back in July.
November 16, 201411 yr "Let It Go" getting a boost might be from the release of "Now That's What I Call Disney" this week.

I've heard it's not particularly representative of the overall sound of the album. It could also have further context in the album setting which explains why it's so different, like "Backseat Freestyle" plz release that album soon though.

Despite being released as a single in 1989, it did not become a hit until it was later featured in the David Lynch film Wild at Heart (1990). Lee Chesnut, an Atlanta radio station music director who loved David Lynch films, began playing the song and it quickly became a nationwide top ten hit in January 1991, reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the first hit song of his career. In 2013, German house producer Parra for Cuva released a cover version that featured Anna Naklab. The single was retitled as "Wicked Games" in plural. This version has charted in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): Parra For Cuva 2014 06 Wicked Games (Parra For Cuva Feat. Terrible interpretation.
November 16, 201411 yr I've heard it's not particularly representative of the overall sound of the album. That's good to hear! This is a really important song for him and his influences so good on him for putting it out there but i really would not be able to support an entire album of it. "Let It Go" getting a boost might be from the release of "Now That's What I Call Disney" this week. Not really chart show thread etiquette~ but if anyone has a download link for this can they please PM me  have been searching for one all day to no luck.

For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2012 11 Latch (Disclosure Feat.
