Tried to download some shit onto my Macbook. Thankfully I caught it before it could succeed in launching its wee download but it was not appreciated.

 

 

After all Google put us through, the least they could do is prevent viruses infecting their bloody adverts.

I unfortunately had to put Adblock back on on BuzzJack because this kept being a problem for me as well.

Oh god, I hate that stuff. It's why I keep AdBlock on. Any way to donate to make up for lost ad revenue?

I must say, I've had no problems leaving this as an exception in my AdBlock lately although if this is happening to other people it's a bit of a problem.

 

Math, that's lovely of you but there's no need for you to do that! Try turning AdBlock off for the site, see if you get the hijacking ads and if you do, then that's unfortunate but just put it back on and hopefully it'll be sorted soon. I don't think we have any ways to donate anyway.

thanks Silas, its very annoying this hasnt been sorted by Google.. I never receive the ads but I can imagine the annoyance <_<

I've seen something like that on a blog, the ad redirects you, takes you off the original site, and onto (in my case) a fake Flash Player download. I assume it is some sore of exploit in the coding?

That's what's in the address bar of my browser. Hopefully that gives you info you can take to Google. The way they treated us the least they could do is ensure our adverts are safe.

I've checked my extensions and the only ones i have are Avast and Adblock so it mustn't be the same problem as you were having. It's only effecting this site as well.

Worse still, it's a women's health page. They could at least know their target audience.

I've been back to normal all morning, but this is happening again just now and it's that same women's fitness site again :(
