November 23, 201411 yr Hoping 'Wrapped Up' can have good longevity (holding up pretty well on iTunes so far). I'm not getting all the criticism of it, another very strong lead single from him for me.
November 23, 201411 yr Wrapped Up :D Shame this couldn't quite overtake Clean Bandit but still a decent result. I'm just glad he's back! Finally a male soloist not releasing boring, depressing music.
November 23, 201411 yr first Olly lead single to not go to #1. Oops. It's not one of his best so good to see. Clean Bandit top 2
November 23, 201411 yr Really catchy Olly Murs song. Despite that, I'm happy Clean Bandit are ahead of him. :yahoo:
November 23, 201411 yr Wrapped Up :D Shame this couldn't quite overtake Clean Bandit but still a decent result. I'm just glad he's back! Finally a male soloist not releasing boring, depressing music. It's a matter of taste. Better than releasing formulaic music with no depth.
November 23, 201411 yr Very disappointing from Olly, sounds like a watered down version of his other lead singles so it's fitting this doesn't go to number 1 (and wouldn't have even without Band Aid). Hope he can do something very good like Dear Darlin' again. Edited November 23, 201411 yr by Chez Wombat
November 23, 201411 yr 02 00 01 Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne Real Love New Eyes (re-release) | 2014 http://a3.mzstatic.com/eu/r30/Music1/v4/35/1e/05/351e0507-49fe-39b8-3b5e-59774ac768fc/cover170x170.jpeg Chart Run: 2 Release date: 16-11-2014 Format: digital single Label: Atlantic Records Video here: qdo_-U4PEsk Biography Rather than the usual bombast or snooze-inducing "relaxation music," the U.K. six-piece known as Clean Bandit mash classical music and pop forms for an airy and dreamy yet driven sound that's like the chamber music version of house music. The core four-piece of the group were known as the Chatto Quartet, a classically trained string quartet that performed J.S. Bach and cited Jacqueline du Pré as an influence, but their post-show, wind-down music often consisted of garage, two-step, Craig David, and Arcade Fire tracks. The quartet members were aware of both producer Jon Wandeck and MC Ssegamic through the duo's work in photography, and when Wandeck suggested they play on one of his house music cuts, Clean Bandit were born. With MC Ssegamic on the mike, they released the classical-meets-house-meets-hip-hop-meets-heartbreak song "Telephone Banking" in the summer of 2011. Their Dance Armstrong mixtape followed in 2012, while 2013 saw the release of their Mozart's House EP. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Clean Bandit 2013 17 Mozart's House (Clean Bandit Feat. At a press conference on 10 November 2014, Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure announced that in 2014 a group of artists would again come together to re-record the song, this time under the banner of 'Band Aid 30' and in aid of the Ebola crisis. November 23, 201411 yr I love 'Real Love'. Probably not as much as 'Rather Be', but it's really good.
November 23, 201411 yr Clean Bandit having 3 top 5 singles *.* Never would have predicted this back when 'A+E' came out or even when 'Mozart's House' went top 20. Great that 'Rather Be' wasn't just a one-off success for them.
November 23, 201411 yr Real Love is another great NE. Not quite as instant and punchy as Rather Be was but still a fantastic follow-up as a collab.
November 23, 201411 yr Real Love on the other hand doesn't just sound like a watered down Rather Be which is quite an achievement! Brilliant production, very 90s-esque.
November 23, 201411 yr Really happy that Clean Bandit held off Olly, I've been listening to their album rather a lot of late and it's really quite a strong debut - especially with the new tracks added in. Plus a cover of Show Me Love shows great taste!
November 23, 201411 yr Real love is amazing  Amazing follow up to rather be Poor forgotten 'Extraordinary' :(
