Ben Haenow - 'Thinking Out Loud' / 5/10 So much of that was flat and even though I'm not a HUGE fan of the track originally (it is good though), it took away any remote emotion or rawness from it. His voice definitely didn't suit that at all and he really didn't seem to get into the swing of it. Performance 1 was one of my favourites from him, that certainly wasn't, not the right sort of voice for the song. Not the worst of the night however.

That song just...doesn't suit his voice. I thought it wouldn't ever since I saw the choices last week.

Daring to have a big song like this as one of the choices, for someone who's so different vocally. I really liked it, it fell a little flat for me in places, but for the most part his voice suited the song.

That was really really poor but better than someone who sang it at my school this week as I thought I went deaf then :lol:

Even worse than his first song. He cannot sing ballads, his voice is too exposed with songs like this and I Will Alwyas Love You. He has no emotion to his voice or anything. I like the song, but it's boring if someone who can't carry it sings it. It was flat and nothingy...

There's just something about him that stops me warming to him as a person though.

Mel was absolutely 100% spot on with that critique.

Mel isn't wrong, neither is Cheryl. The crowd just don't understand actual critique because it happens so infrequently
