"They" in this case is their label/distributors, not the girls themselves of course. This item has been in existence for weeks, they're likely to be hanging around in warehouses at this point for no apparent reason, just waiting to be shipped. I'm intrigued as to why they're delaying it 1 more week. The CD/Download/Streaming sales will be so low again at that point. Such a wasted opportunity~

  • I look back on The Greatest Hits with a little bit of sadness really. The album itself has done well enough in the long run seeing as it is over 800,000 copies now in the UK and apparently on over 1 m

  • The product description on the Rough Trade site matches the exact text from the 2020 release, so it might just be a case of Rough Trade accidentally attaching the CD/digital artwork on the product pag

  • Yeah I agree with most of this. I was quite shocked that yet again they didn't do much promo for ithe GH and relied solely on their band name. I don't really get the hate for Headlines but as a single

Stop hatin' on a hit vinyl record :arrr:

What the hell? I haven't even been messaged about it yet, I've already paid for it too, they need to get a bloody move on

I also ordered on the site of the fnac, fnac me charged yesterday.

I hope to have it tomorrow!

Mess at the differing release dates! Definitely 5th July in the UK

Thanks for posting that!

I still think it looks really badly designed & cheap looking :( As for the quality of the vinyl itself, I've read some saying that the sound is quiet/that it lacks bass/that surface noise can be heard... which was predictable. You just don't shove that many tracks onto one vinyl disc if you can help it, and certainly not onto a picture disc.

*Continues to dream of a normal vinyl pressing, across 2 vinyl discs, with the original cover*

Anyone's been dispatched from Amazon yet? Says mine is arriving Wednesday but hasn't actually been sent out even though it was supposedly released on Friday, 🤷🏼‍♂️
The Spice Girls should be right back up the chart when we see the midweek information later today.
Mine arrived Saturday from Amazon, seems they are still struggling with stock though as you have a 1 to 3 week wait if you order this week, which is bizarre on release week.

I had thought it may start the week in the Top 15.

With the news so far, staying Top 30 looks like the best outcome it will have for this week.

All that extra time to produce more and Amazon are out of stock and saying delivery will be between 1-4 weeks :nocheer: If there are no further copies then this will plummet as the week goes on - such a mess of a release.

Mine still hasn’t either :(

Honestly I feel like this release has been terribly handled. From the quality of it (my personal opinion is that it’s cheap/low effort), to the release date delays, to not being in stock in the eventual week of release. Mess!

Preorders + Friday + Saturday + Sunday sales = only 800-ish vinyl copies sold. Another 400 on top of that comes from CDs, Downloads and Streaming (its figure today is 1,234 to be #21). I was expecting better than that. I guess they’ve essentially “done an Emma Bunton” with a lot of their preorders coming from international fans, which won’t be counted in the chart.

On paper I really think this should be doing far better. Vinyl is very popular in recents years, and they’ve just done a massive tour... yet only 800ish UK fans interested in buying a copy so far, and it seems it’ll end up selling less than 1,000 this week. Eek. I’m disappointed!

The mids suggest that Greatest Hits is on course to end up being Top 50 by Friday.
